What You'll Do
The Technical Business Analyst will support Rural King's omni-channel initiatives by connecting business requirements with technical execution across digital, retail, and operational platforms. This role ensures seamless integration between systems that power Rural King's unified customer experience, from e-commerce and in-store operations to order management and data platforms.
Gather and document both business and technical requirements supporting omni-channel projects.
Develop detailed technical documentation, data flows, and integration specifications for systems across retail and digital channels.
Partner with architects, developers, and QA teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Manage Jira boards, user stories, and sprints to maintain project alignment and transparency.
Support QA and UAT by writing test cases, validating system functionality, and coordinating feedback cycles.
Analyze data from multiple systems to identify integration challenges and optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance processes across online, in-store, and fulfillment systems.
Work closely with teams using HCL Commerce, IBM Sterling OMS, Akeneo PIM, and other enterprise platforms to ensure cohesive operations.

The Business and Technical Analyst is a member of the Enterprise Applications team within Academic and Institutional Technology (AIT). This role provides expert analysis, reporting, and technical support for the College's enterprise functions. The analyst works closely with leadership and administrative stakeholders to maintain data integrity, develop reporting strategies, enhance system functionality, and streamline business processes. This is a full time position and pays $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert on Oracle Cloud, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and usability of data for analysis, reporting, compliance, and operational purposes.
Design and deliver standardized and ad hoc reports using Oracle and Microsoft analytics tools to support compliance efforts, institutional research, and executive leadership needs.
Partner with administrative offices to improve business processes and deliver technology-enabled solutions that align with institutional priorities.
Coordinate with Enterprise Applications and departmental teams to review and test quarterly Oracle updates and other system changes.
Document key system processes and produce user-focused training materials and reference guides.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security protocols in all aspects of enterprise system usage and reporting.
Collaborate with AIT colleagues on integrations, reporting architecture, and system enhancements to maintain consistent data flow and optimal performance.
Contribute expertise in data modeling, report building, and analytics to broader campus initiatives including institutional dashboards and data warehousing.
Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning in conjunction with other members of the AIT team.
Participate in cross-functional technology initiatives and provide consultation and hands-on support to departments as assigned.
Stay current with emerging features of Oracle Cloud and related tools, recommending enhancements and leading adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, major in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in a technical or analyst role, with strong preference for background in enterprise systems.
Expertise in data reporting and analysis using SQL and reporting tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, Fusion Analytics Warehouse, and Power BI.
Proven experience supporting enterprise applications in a higher education or complex administrative environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to translate between business needs and technical implementation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Commitment to confidentiality and stewardship of sensitive data.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
