We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our controls engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of control systems for automotive production equipment. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Read and Interpret Electrical Schematics: Analyze and troubleshoot electrical schematics to support the maintenance and optimization of control systems.
Fabricate Electrical Enclosures: Assemble and fabricate electrical enclosures to house control system components, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
Install and Maintain Control Systems: Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices used in automotive production lines.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical and control systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Work closely with controls engineers, manufacturing engineers, mechanical engineers, and other technicians to implement system upgrades and process improvements.
Ensure Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, automotive industry standards, and regulatory requirements during system installation and maintenance.
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a controls or electrical technician role, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience in fabricating and assembling electrical enclosures.
Familiarity with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, AutomationDirect) and HMI systems is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and equipment is preferred.
The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000- $85,000.

Job Salary and Benefits:

Purpose
This role is a key contributor to inspection activities, supporting complex measurements, training peers, and upholding high‑quality standards within the inspection team. You deliver accurate metrology data and inspection reports to ensure parts are compliant with engineering specifications.
The Role
Use metrology Scanners, such FARO, Romer, Creaform C‑Track, MetraSCAN, GOM ScanBox, to acquire geometrical scan data.
Process raw scan data, remove noise, and export files using comprehensive 3D metrology software such as PolyWorks & Zeiss.
Create and maintain inspection files, interpret results, and produce complete, accurate inspection reports.
Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to the requirements.
Perform inspections utilizing engineering drawings, standard procedures, calibrated manual gages/tools, and various inspection methods.
Record and maintain accurate data including inspection results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Assist Leadership with other various inspections and inspection-related tasks.
Keep the Metrology Lab clean, organized, and safe following 5S principles.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
At minimum 1 to 2 year of experience in a Quality inspector role in an aerospace, automotive, or other relevant production environment
High‑school diploma (required).
Proficient computer literacy (Windows, Teams, Excel, etc.).
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including knowledge of GD&T
Ability to lift parts up to 50 lb and operate scanning arms for extended periods.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or higher degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
Background interfacing with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams
Experience in regulated or high-performance manufacturing environments
Work Environment
Occasionally exposure to noise, machinery, welding, machining, hot surfaces, and airborne particles.
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of precision tools and materials.

Purpose

The Role
Use metrology Scanners, such FARO, Romer, Creaform C‑Track, MetraSCAN, GOM ScanBox, to acquire geometrical scan data.
Process raw scan data, remove noise, and export files using comprehensive 3D metrology software such as PolyWorks & Zeiss.
Create and maintain inspection files, interpret results, and produce complete, accurate inspection reports.
Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to the requirements.
Perform inspections utilizing engineering drawings, standard procedures, calibrated manual gages/tools, and various inspection methods.
Record and maintain accurate data including inspection results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Assist Leadership with other various inspections and inspection-related tasks.
Keep the Metrology Lab clean, organized, and safe following 5S principles.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
At minimum 1 to 2 year of experience in a Quality inspector role in an aerospace, automotive, or other relevant production environment

Purpose
The Robotic Technician is a core production role responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting multiple automated manufacturing cells, including robotic assembly, anodize automation, scan box inspection, and future robotic systems. This technician ensures stable day-to-day operations, maintains equipment health, supports material flow, and helps drive production efficiency, quality, and safety on the shop floor.
This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented technician who excels at troubleshooting automation and mechanical issues in a fast-paced production environment.
The Role
As a Robotic Technician, you will support daily production across several automated work centers. You will operate equipment, maintain part flow, assist with routine maintenance, and respond to issues in real time to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality components for automotive, aerospace, and defense applications. You will collaborate with engineering, production leads, and other technicians to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Multi-Cell Production Operations
Operate, monitor, and support daily production across multiple automated cells-robotic assembly, anodize automation, scan box, and future robotic systems.
Maintain proper flow of parts through automated cells to avoid delays or bottlenecks.
Perform part preparation activities including masking, cleaning, light mechanical assembly, and adhesive-ready prep.
Complete digital assemblies and validation steps using required software, tools, or inspection systems.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and general shop equipment
Maintain clean, organized, and well-staged work areas; support other cells as needed.
Assist with material movement between work centers, including forklift operation.
Support shipping/receiving needs and basic shop logistics as required.
Help stage, organize, and track materials across multiple automated work cells
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform routine operational maintenance on robotic and automated equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic robotic, mechanical, and electrical issues to reduce downtime.
Documentation, Quality & Continuous Improvement
Assist with updating work instructions, process documentation, and checklists.
Report nonconformances and support corrective action processes.
Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on workflow, equipment reliability, and production efficiency.
Safety & Housekeeping
Follow all safety protocols around robotic equipment and moving machinery.
Help keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Report any unsafe conditions or concerns immediately.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience operating industrial robots (Kuka, ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa) or automated equipment in a production setting.
Strong understanding of robotic operation and basic automation troubleshooting.
Mechanical and electrical assembly skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues.
Experience in automotive, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely climb ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating Kuka 6-axis robots or similar robotic manipulators.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and HMI interfaces.
Experience with automated adhesive dispensing equipment.
Background in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing.
Experience in multi-cell or high-mix automated production environments.
Work Environment
Work near moving mechanical and robotic equipment.
Standing, bending, and hands-on tasks for most of the shift.
Occasional overtime or weekend work based on production needs.
Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety.
Compensation
At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels T02 - T03 as evaluated through our interview process.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Daily technical support to production/operations.
* Set-up and conduct tests on cutting tools under operational conditions for improving performance or to obtain data for development, standardization and capability.
* Program, debug and troubleshoot CNC equipment.
* Conduct changeovers.
* Set up and edit programs on lathe machines.
* Perform off sets and tool changes.

* Perform and assist manufacturing engineering root cause analysis to eliminate tool breakage, process variation and equipment downtime.
* Communicate issues for resolution regarding maintenance to Area Manager and/or Engineering
* Assist with job training for manufacturing technicians and line supervisors regarding the proper operation of new or rebuilt equipment during initial start-up and launch.
* Conduct routine process audits and layered process audits (LPA) to ensure processes are being maintained within documented parameters. Record on appropriate check lists or other documents.
* Maintain accurate records of CNC programs per Dana procedures.
* Work in a safe manner and report unsafe work conditions, equipment or practices to department supervisors or engineers for resolution.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Education Required/Preferred:
* Knowledge of cutting tool and CNC technology through two years of technical study or equivalent work experience.

* Knowledge of mathematics and blue print reading.
* Demonstrated skill with machine tools.
* Ability to understand new manufacturing processes quickly.
* Knowledge of PFMEA, DCP, SPC, Cutting Tool Application, Metrology, Problem Solving, applicable quality and customer specific standards i.e. TS/QS (willing to train in areas needed).
