The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of Class 7-8 truck, trailer and reefers to ensure a safe and efficient fleet.
This position will manage locations in Amsterdam and Wilton and will require regular travel between the sites.
Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range: $85,000-100,000 depending on experience plus additional bonus incentives.

What the Fleet Manager role looks like:
Lead, educate and develop employees
Monitor employee's performance and be accessible to all areas of the shop
Oversee multiple shop operations
Plan daily manpower to meet workload
Provide support to the operations team regarding all equipment related issues
Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
Perform administrative functions; including payroll approval, scanner downloads, repair order maintenance and compliance documentation
Address all corrective action regarding direct reports
Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment
Communicate with client to ensure operation's and company's needs are met
Identify and monitor equipment sent to outside sources for repairs
Conduct pre-shift meetings
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Interview and hire for shop positions
What our ideal candidate looks like:
Must possess at least 2 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance or operations capacity and 5-8 years of direct management experience.
Prior technician/mechanic experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with heavy truck / trailer / reefer repair and maintenance
Must be able to travel as needed; overseeing multiple shop locations as assigned
Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, company policies and procedures
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Strong computer skills- knowledge of Word, Excel, Fleet Management systems and exposure to large ERP/timekeeping system
Working Conditions:
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants.
Ability to move and position heavy objects
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

The Facility Maintenance Engineer is responsible for dealership building and equipment maintenance and inspections. They will also work with vendors to complete projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
Manage all outside services used to maintain functionality of dealership, including but not limited, to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, roofing, landscaping, and fire protection services.
Manage the repair and maintenance of shop equipment including but not limited to lifts, compressors, parts washer, car wash system and oil distribution systems.
Schedule all preventative maintenance and inspections associated with the dealership (quarterly/bi-annual/annual inspection) ex: fire protection, elevator, lifts, etc.
Maintenance/handyman duties - ex: including but not limited to changing of interior light-bulbs/ceiling tiles, pressure washing, painting (interior/exterior).
Schedule/Coordinate appointments, review, submit and follow up on invoices for select vendors.
Work hand in hand with Corporate Construction Managers and contractors in regard to building/expansion projects, including but not limited to, working with service providers to stop/start or suspend services, request permits, and notarize documents.
Assist the Regional Facility Manager with projects as needed.

Trailer Repair Technician Summary:
The Trailer Repair Technician works in a fast-paced repair facility. The Trailer Repair Technician is responsible to perform a variety of welding and repair functions. The Trailer Repair Technician should be familiar and capable of using various types of welding equipment, air power, and hand tools.
Trailer Repair Technician Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Use hand and air power tools to repair truck and trailer bodies.
Perform welds (GMAW) on various materials such as steel, stainless, and aluminum using welding equipment. Weld positions include flat, horizontal, and overhead.
Cut metal using shears, saw, plasma cutter and or other equipment.
Diagnose and repair minor electrical issues, hydraulic issues, and repair structural damage to trailers.
Operate air power and hand tools including grinders, floor jacks, impact gun, rivet gun, and Sawzall.
Must be able to work independently and part of a team.
Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to carry out assigned work
Trailer Repair Technician Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:
Strong Mechanically inclined way of thinking
Welding experience, ability to pass on site welding test
ASE Certification preferred.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16th is required
Must be reliable with a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, written direction, and work orders.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to communicate clearly
Requires ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Requires ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel
Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing work environment that has frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, noise intensity level, proximity to moving mechanical parts and exposure to weather.
