Conduct all activities related to safe storage, handling, processing and disposition of raw materials and the preparation, operation, storage, handling, processing and disposition of equipment in the manufacturing areas. This includes, LPA/BBS audits, PPRA's, Risk Assessments and Spills.
Work with R&D and PD groups during product/process development. Support all process development activities including material development scaleup, plant trials, equipment trials and the implementation/documentation of processing parameters and recipes from raw material to final part. Follow the PDP and ODP processes.
Responsible for the preparation of Process Flow Segment Maps, PFMEAs for all new launched parts in compounding/conversion areas. Utilize part prints, DFMEAs, material specifications, FMA's, MCA's, Formula Recipes and equipment controls/limits as reference for their creation. Work with the quality department to see that these are carried over into the control plans and floor paperwork.
Lead all activities related to process launches including investigations, feasibility, proposals, trials/runoffs of processing equipment. Project Manage the recommended processing equipment including design reviews, equipment signoffs, run at rates and capability studies to produce any existing or new material/products at quoted/standard rates and efficiencies. Follow the CLP process for all capital expenditures.
Interface with production, quality, support technicians and maintenance technicians to troubleshoot and eliminate material quality and process failure issues (including Gemba, Kaizen, RedX, Is/IsNot, DOE's, and other studies so causes & effects can be identified). • Develop operator training programs, reference materials, and support resources to prepare teams for launch.
• Ensure successful execution of Run at Rates, PSOs, HVPTs, and related launch milestones.
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Act as central communication point between plant, corporate, and customer stakeholders.
• Support other programs during critical stages or issue resolution.
• Develop optimized cell layouts for material flow and ergonomics.
Documentation & Tracking
• Maintain equipment records and databases; track material usage during trials and prototypes.
• Document and update process flows and operator standard work instructions.
Requirements/ Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
• 3 to 5 years' experience in Manufacturing/ProcessEngineering related to an automotive industry
• Interior Components/Assembly/Injection Molding preferred
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Proficient PC skills - MS Office, MS Project, and WEB based software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Responsibilities
* Monitor KPIs and support the development of data-driven countermeasures for process deviations.
* Maintain and update all required documentation including standard work instructions, PFMEAs, and process flow diagrams.
* Support and optimize automated manufacturing processes, including welding systems and torque tooling applications.
* Manage capital projects and related spending; support manufacturing operations and problem solving while making improvements.
* Standardize best practices across programs to minimize variation and improve overall process quality.
* Collaborate across departments improve axle assembly operations.
* Support major plant initiatives, kaizen events, and other strategic goals in the plant.
* Procure specialized tools and gauges by evaluating design concepts, justifying expenditures, and initiating purchase orders.
* Implement tooling, improved processes, and plant layout improvement as needed through AutoCAD.
* Supervise installation of equipment, supporting functions, and vendors.
* Lead PFMEA reviews and actively identify and mitigate process risks throughout production systems.
* Serve as technical mentor to production, supporting advanced troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
* Support launch of new programs with Dana's manufacturing goals.
* Leads efforts for safety, sustainability and innovation.
* Champion training initiatives that improve workforce capability in diagnostic and problem-solving methods.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment to apply new technology or alternate process within the manufacturing environment.
* Experience with corrective action and problem-solving experience using tools such as 8D, Five-Why or a similar methodology\Ability to perform statistical data analysis, including capability studies, batch sizing and time studies
* Lean/TPS experience.
* Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and / or Autodesk Inventor
* Must have a focus on safe manufacturing process
* PLC, Controls knowledge or programming skills are preferred
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
