Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role oversees multiple surgical departments and a large multidisciplinary team supporting complex, high-acuity surgical services. This opportunity is ideal for a proven Surgical Services Director with deep acute care experience, strong financial acumen, and the ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced environment. Partner with physicians, EMS, and department leaders to drive continuous improvement in trauma care delivery. Ensure ongoing readiness for trauma center verification and re-verification processes. Develop and implement quality filters, audits, and case reviews to monitor care standards. Manage department budget, staffing, and strategic planning initiatives. Participate in regional and state trauma network collaborations to strengthen referral relationships. Support community education and injury prevention programs.
