Your career will begin at the closest Pyle terminal to your home. Here, you will learn about freight handling and our LTL, less-than-truckload, business. Over the course of the next six months, you will gain valuable hands on experience working various shifts on our dock and riding along in our trucks. You will learn how our operation works both during the day and at night. Additionally, you'll spend time in our corporate office engaging with and learning from our senior leadership.
Nearing the completion of the program, you'll receive your placement within our Pyle network and following successful completion you'll put your new acquired skills to work.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Shadowing Pyle leaders to develop leadership skills through on-the-job experiences, project assignments and formal training
Understanding “teamwork” - learning how all team members and roles impacts the operation
Participating in classroom style learning to develop industry and company knowledge, and develop professional relationships with high level leadership
Performing several different positions and working on various shifts to gain hands-on experience
To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:
Prior work experience, preferably in a supply chain, logistics, transportation or similar field; combination of part-time work, internship, and or co-op in any field or industry will be considered
Associates or Bachelor's Degree (any major) preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
Excellent Communication - both written and verbal
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
Willingness to relocate within the Pyle network upon program completion
Possess a positive, can-do attitude

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions with opportunities to experience both office settings and operational facilities such as maintenance garages or transit hubs where safety regulations will be strictly enforced. This position works with multiple project timelines.
Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout a six to eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment.
Incumbents must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs., perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day, and function in an environment with constant interruptions.

The Allegheny County Airport Authority's Air Service DevelopmentInternship position will expose the student to the business process of working with airlines and external stakeholders to understand their business needs and demands. The intern will receive hands-on experience through marketing activities for the development of air carrier and air cargo services for the Allegheny County Airport Authority.
Here is how the Air Service Development Intern will help:
Analyze and manipulate raw data through marketing research for the purpose of developing market analysis reports.
Research and develop new literature for route development purposes; work with fellow airports on marketing strategies and assist in creating relevant survey materials.
Research and benchmark regional economic trends that promote air service to airlines and encourage investment to the airport.
Represent the Authority through marketing and awareness programs by participating in community events to promote designated carriers and routes
Online research to monitor community strengths, gain exposure to the community and regional market intelligence.
Update passenger and cargo air service promotional materials.
Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Requirements to apply for role of Air Service Development Intern are:
Second or third-year undergraduate from an accredited four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, or a related field. Third-year undergraduates are preferred. Graduate students are also considered.
Must maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater.

TOTE DevelopmentProgramInternship Description:
As a TOTE intern, you will participate in a paid summer internshipprogram working on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business nationwide. TOTE offers you an opportunity to work in a variety of fields based on your degree type. This internship is 10-weeks in length but can be shorter in duration for maritime academy co-op specific programs within the TOTE Services Business Unit.
