Responsibilities * Collaborate with Senior Project Manager to lead technical teams in all aspects of site/civil project design including site layout, site planning, grading, storm water management, erosion & sediment control, roadways, utilities, and permitting for municipal, commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. * Train and mentor internal junior staff. * Works closely with Senior Project Managers and agency staff. * Specific work may include, but is not limited to construction document (plan and specifications) and technical reports preparation and/or oversight; engineering analyses, cost estimates and quality control/quality assurance in order to deliver a quality design product. * Communicate with clients (both internal and external) and manage budgets. * Assistant Project Manager will establish milestones and completion dates for projects and monitor progress for final evaluation of results. Required Skills & Required Experience * BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. * 4-8 years of experience in civil design of land development projects. * Virginia PE preferred. * Proficient in preparation of graphics, exhibits and Site/Civil Construction Plans. * Strong technical capabilities in various Software Applications including but limited to: * Strong understanding of site/civil design for energy & utilities, higher education, and public and private land development. * Capable of delivering projects that meet technical requirements on time and within budget. * Skill sets must include performance and /or direction of specific engineering work on diverse civil site design projects across market segments and with varying degrees of complexity. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and Dewberry-specific software programs. The Program Manager is accountable for overall contract performance-ensuring integrated program execution, compliance with standards and best practices, effective allocation of sizeable staff and resources, and delivery of mission‑critical outcomes. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in international relations, business administration, engineering or a related field. * Minimum of ten years of managerial, technical, and business knowledge, and experience relating to DoD and major systems or programs. * Proficient in standards, principles, practices, and processes related to complex weapon systems. * Proven ability to lead and provide direct input in solving complex issues involving staff and resources of sizable magnitude. * Highly developed analytical and strategic planning skills to address issues and implement plans for major operational defense programs. * Proficiency with common government collaboration and document repositories (e.g., SharePoint) and experience maintaining program documentation and records for audits and surveillance * Active or eligible to obtain required security clearance as specified by task orders. * Demonstrated ability to serve as primary contractor interface with Government CORs and senior stakeholders; excellent written and oral communications for briefings, decision papers, and status reports.
