Scan the required documents into the system on their account for retrieval. Provide any necessary forms that need to be completed and obtain signatures as necessary. Collects time of service money (co-pays, deductibles, and private pay), prepares receipt, records in system under visit tab. Function in a team environment and assist other team members when needed. Other duties may be required, but not limited to; answering the phone, escorting patient to exam room, and scheduling or rescheduling of patient's exams. Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in computer software and excellent typing skills. Displays a high competency for the role and is very efficient in the registration process. Knowledge of customer service concepts and company policies including safety, privacy and HIPAA. Problem solving techniques and skills. Able to communicate clearly to establish cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians and team members, and create a pleasant waiting room atmosphere. Minimum of one-year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. Must have computer and phone experience High school graduate or GED preferred. Previous office or call center experience, preferred. Previous working experience in customer service, preferably in a medical setting.
