The majority of our patients are GYN-Oncology patients. You would care for women with cancer of the ovary, uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, vulva, and vagina. You would also care for women admitted for benign GYN diagnoses and on occasion, you would care for women with complications from their fertility treatments. The majority of our patients are admitted to the unit through the PACU, therefore there is a strong focus of post-surgical nursing care. The unit receives admissions through the ED, the clinic, the infusion centers, and from other hospitals. For people undergoing surgery as part of their gender transition plan, Weinberg 4B takes care of the female-to-male population having female pelvic organs removed. You may give chemotherapy and care for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Very often, the staff cares for women with GYN cancer facing the end of their life. Conditions apply.** The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Physician Assistant works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing comprehensive and age appropriate care to both well and/or ill patients. The NNP or PA educates patients' families and/or intervenes in acute or chronic illness. The NNP or PA practices within their scope as defined by their education, specialty certification and the guidelines of the unit, department and institution. The NNP or PA is granted affiliate staff privileges by the Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical Board; these privileges reviewed during re-credentialing. Shift: Fulltime Schedule: Rotating, Days and Nights, Weekends and Holidays Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of neonatal patients. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
