What you will do

Daily Operations:
•Provides oversight of daily operations in Diagnostic Imaging
•Serves as Radiologist liaison for issues regarding quality, safety, and adjustments to protocols
•Maintains monthly schedule for x-ray department at two imaging locations for eleven FTE's
•Evaluates PTO requests with regard to availability of backfill to maintain volume
•Secures staff coverage during short staffing times

•Audits billing/charges as appropriate- contacts finance with billing corrections and requests creation of new charge codes as needed

Staffing Oversight:
•Assists Operations Manager with interviewing and selecting new diagnostic x-ray employees
•Prepares 30/90 day initial evaluations for new hires, and annual performance evaluations for 19 employees
•Maintains oversight of the Image Quality program which includes at least annual image quality specific evaluations for all technologists performing x-rays, including follow up training, plans of correction, and documentation as appropriate in the event of quality issues
•Develops in-services and training for diagnostic x-ray staff
•Utilizes Net Learning and iSolved systems reporting capabilities to ensure diagnostic x-ray staff remain in compliance with mandatory SLM's, annual health requirements, competencies, NYSDOH licensure, and BLS
•Provides communication to existing, new, and per-diem diagnostic x-ray staff regarding department and organization wide information, changes, policies, and staff compliance
•In collaboration with MI Operations Manager, executes appropriate Plans of Correction to address violations of policies, Standards of Behavior and/or Standards of Performance, and provides coaching, documentation, and recommendations of further disciplinary actions as needed.
NYSDOH Related Duties:
•Maintains regulatory equipment logs and schedules preventative and emergency maintenance on eleven pieces of imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and NYSDOH requirements.
•Maintains QC, QA, department policies, radiation badge readings, and all other required documentation in a state of "inspection readiness" with regard to diagnostic x-ray requirements for NYSDOH and HFAP surveys.
•In conjunction with Operations Manager, completes biennial NYSDOH surveys at two x-ray locations with no avoidable major citations.
Other Roles:
•Serves as clinical instructor for Mohawk Valley Community College Radiologic Technology program
•Serves as PACS system, CR , C-Arm, Portable, and Fixed digital x-ray super user
•Serves as "system downtime" point person and has a full working understanding of recovery procedures to return to "uptime" status
•Serves as point person for Medical Imaging Department in absence of Director and Operations Manager, escalating issues to VP, MI Department Chairman, and/or Nursing Supervisor as appropriate.

About the Program
The Home-Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Program provides intensive, short-term crisis intervention
and family education services for children ages 5-20. The goal: to stabilize acute psychiatric crises and
prevent hospitalization. In partnership with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, our
mobile, in-home team delivers services including crisis response, treatment planning, psychoeducation,
therapy, case management, and community referrals.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible to distribute/collect the cash bags (if applicable) to all receptionist.
Responsible for ensuring all reception desks are staffed for hours of operation. Prepares weekly schedule as well as the daily break/lunch schedule. Will provide desk coverage as patient flow demands.
Responsible to perform rounds of the reception desks multiple times per day to ensure policy and procedures are being followed.
Responsible for daily time clock functions as well as PTO requests ensuring adequate coverage for the department.
Responsible for completing all annual reviews for the department in a timely fashion.
Responsible to update current and the development of new Policies and Procedures relative to the department.

Responsible for the completion and submission of the initial Medicaid ePACES enrollment forms as well as all annual provider (Physician, NP, PA, PT, LCSW, etc.) recertification's to ensure there is no lapse in active status within the ePACES system that would have a negative impact on AR.
Responsible to report on the front desk payments (co-pays, on account balances, etc.) including weekly, monthly, and yearly reports. Develop and implement processes for increasing front desk payments.
