The Transportation Planner's main responsibility is the scheduling of outbound customer shipments for assigned DC(s) while utilizing SAP, JDE and client Transportation Management System (Blue Yonder) to select an appropriate carrier to meet client and our customer's service requirements.
Additional responsibilities include managing the inbound transportation routing and scheduling for client plants, sterilizers, and distribution centers.
The transportation planner is a key team member in the North American Supply Chain Organization's success each day.
Client Transportation Planners are responsible for the building, planning, and booking of outbound shipments from our North American Distribution Centers, Manufacturing plants and Sterilizers.
Transportation Planners balance customer needs, a portfolio of carrier partners/contacts, and special shipment requirements in order to not only deliver the highest outbound efficiency possible, but also while locking in the best financial option possible for client.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct historic resource field surveys.
Conduct background research on historic resources using a variety of primary and secondary sources.
Evaluate historic resources for eligibility in the National Register of Historic Places in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and other relevant environmental laws.
Assess effects to historic resources, including working with engineering professionals and the overall project team to avoid or minimize impacts in accordance with Section 106 and other applicable regulations.
Prepare technical reports for distribution to state and federal agencies, including creating project and resource maps in ArcGIS.
Maintain internal and external delivery schedules for all assigned projects, prioritized by project baseline schedule dates.

Must be prepared to spend some time in the field and travel to project sites, with some overnight visits required. Projects will generally be in Florida but could also be outside of the state, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years of full-time professional Architectural Historian experience, including conducting historic resource surveys and background research, plus demonstrated ability to carry projects to completion.
EDUCATION: At a minimum, must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards for History or Architectural History, including a degree in History, Architectural History, Historic Preservation, or a closely related field.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Excellent written, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Attention to detail is a must.
General understanding of the following industries: transportation, infrastructure, state and local governments, and/or regulatory/compliance.
Basic level of experience with ArcGIS is desired; intermediate to advanced experience is a plus.

Jackson Walker, the largest law firm in Texas, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Land Use Planner in our Austin office. The Land Use Planner handles zoning or entitlement cases, working side-by-side with attorneys and clients on an array of development projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Your day will be spent performing a range of duties by supporting efforts between attorneys, clients, co-consultants, developers, and/or City and County staff.
Under the supervision of an attorney, you may draft and revise documents related to the acquisition, development, zoning, subdivision, and site planning of real estate and easements.
You will prepare applications and supporting documentation related to land use including zoning and entitlements.
You may work independently or manage project teams, guiding them through the zoning or entitlement process.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience preparing and filing project applications and effectuating permits in local and state jurisdictions
Experience drafting or working on local Comprehensive/Master Plans, Zoning Ordinance code sections, and reviewing environmental and engineering documents/plans
Experience communicating with clients, co-consultants (engineers, traffic consultants, architecture and planning firms), City or County staff and/or appointed and elected officials
Proficient user of Microsoft 365 suite Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Proficient in public speaking
Must be detail-oriented with strong execution and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative working environment
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to think critically and show initiative
Ability to handle confidential documents and information appropriately
Contribute to and execute the goals of the team
Education:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university required.
Preferred certifications:
AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners)
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
LS (Landscape Engineer)
PE (Professional Engineer)
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience working for a City or County in Central Texas in the subdivision, planning, zoning or development department(s) or in a law firm setting supporting a Land Use or Real Estate practice group.
City of Austin working experience highly preferred.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise and temperature.
Some travel is expected for this position travel to attend external meetings occasionally required.
