The teller will perform basic teller functions that consist of: assisting customers, processing personal and commercial transactions, balancing credits and debits daily, ATM, Vault, Cash Items and Branch balancing to general ledger. Tellers must adhere to all Bank policies, procedures and all compliance regulations. Tellers must be willing to cross-train and recognize opportunities to cross-sell products to customers. SKILLS REQUIRED: · Ability to multi-task · Customer service skills / good telephone etiquette · Computer Literate · Minimum 1year of retail experience and cash handling · Previous teller experience a plus PRIMARY DUTIES: 1. The Teller serves as a first point of contact for customers by providing FirstBank service excellence, processing transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures, assisting with customer inquiries, and recognizing/referring cross-sell opportunities as appropriate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist customers with transactional needs according to established guidelines, brand model and service standards, including answering basic customer inquiries regarding account balances, transaction history, service charges, interest rates, etc. as appropriate. Maintain daily operational standards, including but not limited to cash drawer security, daily balance of cash drawer, item capture procedures, counterfeit currency identification, count and roll coins, balance ATM, adequate supplies in teller station, etc. Demonstrate knowledge of available products and services, and educate customers, as appropriate, on emerging bank technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, ATM and other offerings. Recognize customer needs and refer customers to appropriate bank partner(s) for crosssell or service opportunities. Protect the bank from unnecessary risk or exposure by being familiar with bank procedures and confidentiality guidelines, including but not limited to currency transaction reports, suspicious activity reports, Regulation CC holds and documentation, robbery procedures, etc. Provide consistent, distinctive service to all customers when delivering the FirstBank service experience. Practice safe and sound bank procedures, including adherence to applicable laws and regulations, internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies; adhere to security protocols for robbery, fraud, opening/closing process, cash controls, teller procedures, etc. Regular and reliable attendance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operational efficiency · Handle a cash drawer; ensuring proper control of cash drawer; follow all audit and security policies and procedures. · Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payment transactions for customers. · Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, municipal coupons, money orders, etc.). · Assist in daily balancing and processing of ATM(s), including the processing of all entries. · Assist in the verification of deposits in the night and lobby depository. · Assist with the dual control vault responsibilities. · Stay informed of all operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with all current guidelines. Client experience · Deliver excellent client experiences consistently and promptly resolve client issues effectively. · Ensure an excellent overall client experience by assisting clients with select service needs. · Enhance individual knowledge to better serve clients by attending relevant sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning. Sales and service · Identify cross selling opportunities and refer clients/prospects to the appropriate team. · Promote bank products and services to further enhance client relationships. Provide quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions in a retail banking environment. Often serving as the first point of contact to the client, may have responsibility for recommending bank products or referring clients to other areas of the Bank. Develop and retain long-term and profitable client relationships to maximize revenue growth. Responsible for maintaining high customer service and procedural standards. Provides fulfillment of retail banking products either through referral based leads, prospecting lists or self-sourcing. Monitors and maintains control of cash. **Weekly Scheduled Hours:** Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:45 am-2:45 pm, Friday 8:45 am-5:00 pm.
