Department Summary
The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create transformational experiences for all UNT Health students by providing tailored support and fostering holistic development. There are 8 functional units within the Division of Student Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office for Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.
Position Overview
The Writing Coordinator in the Center for Academic Performance is a hybrid position, working both on campus and remotely to aid in the support of students by providing academic writing and presentation support. This position will meet individually with students, both in person and via online meeting platforms, to assess and provide feedback regarding writing skills. They will work closely with other departments and academic programs to integrate writing skills with curriculum. They will provide students with presentations and workshops focused on the enhancement of writing skills. When on campus, the Writing Coordinator does work out of a shared office space, with access to space to meet privately with students.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The person in this role must have the ability to build strong relationships, maintain strict confidentiality and exemplify UNT Health's values, both in action and when responding to in-the-moment conversations. They must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language and be able to evaluate writing and provide constructive feedback. They must be able to present over various topics in-person and virtually. They must be able to manage a caseload with attention to detail and accuracy. They must have the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines in a high paced, time sensitive environment and provide comprehensive updates. They must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. They must be able to communicate effectively through all modalities and professionally represent the department and UNT Health.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in English or other related field is preferred; Two (2) years experience providing writing support in a higher education setting.
Job Duties
Provides one-on-one consultations to students, both in-person and virtually, and provides feedback for online writing submissions.
Creates and presents topic-specific presentations for the students, such as APA formatting and dissertation preparation.
Creates and maintains resources for writing and presentation support.
Collaborates with faculty in developing and implementing writing-specific curriculum.
Assists with data collection and assessment of services.
Manages office website, and makes edits and updates as needed.

PURPOSE
The purpose of an Academic Advising Coordinator under the direction of the Director of Academic Advising is to ensure the effective, consistent, and student-centered delivery of academic advising services by coordinating advising operations, supporting advisors, and facilitating communication between students, faculty, and institutional stakeholders. The role serves as a central point for aligning advising practices with institutional policies, academic requirements, and student success initiatives.
DESCRIPTION
Program Development and Implementation: 50%
* Plans, develops, implements, oversees, and directs center wide advising activities, programs, policies, and procedures.
* Collaborates with campus partners to review and revise policies and procedures to support student retention and graduation goals.
* Reviews and recommends operational, policy, and process changes to enhance advising services.
* Assist with Special Projects as assigned by advising leadership such as ensuring advising coverage as needed for dual credit students.
* Support consistent implementation of advising policies, procedures, and best practices across advising staff.
* Assist with advising cycle planning (registration, add/drop, fifth-week reporting, graduation checks, and Islander Launch Advising activities.)
Advisor Support and Training: 25%
* Manages Islander Advising Center committees to ensure current and appropriate representation from each college area, and that committees meet regularly and make progress on initiatives.
* Chairs the Training and Development Advising Committee.
* Assist with onboarding and training of new advisors grounded in tenets of practice outlined by the National Association of Academic Advising (NACADA) and appropriate academic advising, student development theories.
* Provide ongoing guidance on advising tools (e.g., degree audit systems, student information systems, scheduling platforms).
* Support advisors' professional development initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

The Department of Construction Science is one of the largest programs of construction higher education in the world. The Construction Science Department is housed in the College of Architecture. The College of Architecture, with over 2600 students, is the largest College of Architecture in the nation. In addition to Construction Science, the College has the Department of Architecture and The Department of Landscape Architecture & Urban Planning. The College provides extraordinary opportunities for interdisciplinary research and teaching. Currently, there is a faculty of thirty-three within the Construction Science Department. Program enrollment is approximately 1350 undergraduate students, 150 Master students, and 28 Doctoral students. Position Overview
The purpose of the Student Services Coordinator for the Center of Student Affairs at Discovery Park is to serve as an extension to the Division of Student Affairs to the Discovery Park Campus. Department Summary
The office of Orientation and Transition Programs is a department within the Division of Student Affairs and provides new students, continuing students, and family members with the tools necessary to make a smooth transition to UNT and toward graduation. Through Orientation and Transition Programs, resources and services are provided to help students and families establish and attain their educational goals.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing leadership to the university's pre-college program initiatives and plays an integral role in the logistics and operations of new student orientation. The Student Services Coordinator working with Orientation and Pre-College Programs is expected to implement transitional programs during the academic year and summer to connect prospective students to the university community, employ a variety of communication strategies to inform high school students and administrators of events and processes, and provide a welcoming environment to all guests to UNT. This role collaborates closely with the coordinator of Orientation and First Year Programs to successfully implement new student orientation processes along side the Assistant Director and Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications

* Creates a strategy for transitional programming that supports a successful college transition primarily for but not limited to, high school juniors and seniors.
* Coordinates, implements, and provides leadership to all aspects of Senior Advantage Day, Junior Day and all other in-person and virtual programming pertaining to the high school to college transition process.
* Coordinates all aspects of Senior Day, a two-day overnight experience for high school seniors to gain firsthand experience as a college student on our campus.
* Assists with the selection, training, and supervision of the orientation team members and summer interns.
* Serves as the coordinator and direct contact for all department led high school administrator programs, events, and communications.
* Assists with the coordination and implementation of campus wide Welcome Week programs and transitional programming initiatives and other signature welcome week programs, that assist with the high school to college transition.
* Serves as the departmental liaison to the campus wide Admissions Events Committee and the departmental representative for admissions events and travel/recruitment.
* Supports all departmental initiatives, including taking the lead on some programmatic aspects of new student orientation.

Since 1952, the University of North Texas Fraternity and Sorority Life community has been a viable and integral part of campus life. With four councils consisting of 37 fraternities and sororities, our Fraternity and Sorority Life community offers a unique and lifelong involvement experience. Membership in a fraternity or sorority can be one of the most significant experiences for a college student.
Position Overview
Provides support to student groups within Fraternity and Sorority Life and acts as an advisor and advocate for fraternity/sorority members. The coordinator assists

Position Overview
The Academic ProgramCoordinator provides leadership and support for experiential education within the Department of Pharmacotherapy at the UNT System College of Pharmacy. This role supports Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students throughout their educational journey, including both introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences. The coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and preceptors to facilitate student activities and engagement in university functions. In addition, the position contributes to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of experiential and academic components of the PharmD program.

Manages all aspects of the Federal Direct and State Loan Programs. Works with the advising staff on assisting students in the completion of the loan process. Determines or verifies loan eligibility for student and parent loans. Coordinates the importing and exporting of Direct Student Loan records via the financial aid delivery system and COD to ensure the accuracy of each student loan record. Assists the FAMP in the Banner system set-up for the loan component. Plans, schedules, and conducts entrance and exit interviews. Works with the business office to resolve loan exception reports. Reviews and resolves discrepancies related to loan disbursements, student eligibility, MPN reports, the import and export of student loan data. Certifies alternative and state loans.
Works with the FAMP, provides leadership and guidance to departmental working groups. Ensures that the administration of the student loan program is consistent with the laws, regulations, and policies governing their administration and coordinates appropriately and timely communication to outreach staff as appropriate. Assists the FAMP with preparing reports for staff, University officials, and external organizations for internal and external audits.
Creates, manages, and revises the polices and procedures manual for the student loan program(s). With FAMP, provides leadership for identifying opportunities for innovating ways of processing federal direct and state loans. Provides direct support to the FAMP to carry out the recommendations, instructions, and initiatives of the Associate Director and Director of Financial Aid. Serves as a back up to the Federal Work Study Coordinator, Scholarship/State Grant Coordinator, and the Federal Grants Coordinator.
Coordinates/Collaborates with the outreach staff on research and analysis activities and reports regarding loan programs, indebtedness, default aversion, financial literacy initiatives delinquency assistance, and related customer services and intervention. Coordinates with the outreach staff to ensure that student loan information is accurately conveyed to financial aid advisors in a timely manner. Provides support to the financial aid advising staff as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree
Four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.
