With 10+ years of cross functional industry experience in software engineering and cybersecurity, Wayne has a passion for developing innovative solutions to complex problems and managing execution strategies. Wayne’s deep experience in delivering technology operations has spanned many different areas including Federal government, healthcare, and the Defense Industrial Base. He has a Bachelors in Computer Science and Masters in Information Technology from Virginia Tech.

Ryan Trost has spent most of his 15-year career in a SOC from sysadmin and security analyst to SOC Manager at several large 35+ team DIB and USG SOCs. Ryan successfully focuses on forward-leaning techniques to detect and respond to adversaries including automated and repeatable workflows, methodologies to better understand the cyber terrain, and maximizing threat intelligence with budget and resource restrictions.

I am a senior technology executive with extensive experience in all aspects of building a start-up business, as well as executing on IPO’s and managing those businesses longer term. This includes building and managing domestic and international sales organizations, go-to market plans and business development partnerships. I have held SVP level jobs running Sales and Business Development Operations, Corporate Development and Investor Relations, and as a General Manager running an Advanced Malware Protection business unit as an incubated start-up. I have been a senior executive in multiple companies that have resulted in successful liquidity events. My first company achieved an IPO within 18 months of the company launch (NASDAQ: AXNT), eventually selling to Symantec (NASDAQ:SYMC). The second and third were acquired by and integrated into larger, publicly traded companies -Riverbed Technologies acquired by Aether Systems (NASDAQ:AETH); Mountainwave acquired by Symantec. I was employee # 30 +/- at Sourcefire in 2002, which subsequently IPO’d in March 2007 (NASDAQ: FIRE). I subsequently led the Corporate Development activities at Sourcefire and engineered an acquisition by Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) in October 2013 for $2.7 billion (3rd largest pure play cyber security acquisition ever).
