Your responsibilities Shift: 1st shift (7:15AM-3:15PM, Monday-Friday + OT on weekends as needed) Rate of Pay: $20-24/hour depending on experience The Shipping Team Leader oversees daily warehouse and shipping operations, leading a team to ensure safe practices, accurate inventory, and timely, error-free shipments that meet customer demands. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and ERP (SAP) expertise to drive continuous improvement, uphold 6S standards, and maintain a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
* Supervises up to 20 full-time and temporary employees, and ensures they are all properly trained.
* Coordinates manpower to ensure needs are met in the event of an employee absence (i.e. vacation). Interprets specifications and job orders to Material Handlers, and assigns duties.
* Promotes and supports a teamwork approach to achieving goals, ensuring open and effective communication.
* Leads a culture of safety across the warehouse, ensuring that steps are proactively taken to ensure compliance with Company Safety requirements and investigate accidents when needed.
* Ensures the development for Material Handlers through cross-training and monitoring job performance.
* Embraces a continuous improvement approach through effective leadership, with high levels of integrity and performance for his/herself and others.
* Performs as a superior role model for all associates (i.e. attendance).
* Ensures implementation of 6S throughout area of responsibility.
* Works with dock personnel to resolve receiving, shipping, and storage concerns.
* Ensures inventory accuracy through real-time receiving, auditing, and tracking all inbound non-compliance.
* Maintains an organized and well documented warehouse area.
* Assists in maintaining the current Warehouse Management System; and Warehouse Management module in SAP.
* Monitors customer demand to ensure shipment accuracy.
* Communicates with Scheduling team to share relevant information pertaining to outbound shipments.
* Monitors and investigates inventory discrepancies to ensure shipment accuracy
* Performs regular and random audits of outbound customers shipment to ensure accuracy prior to delivery of goods to the customer
* Interfaces with various customer websites/applications to ensure shipment preparedness and obtain relevant documentation when necessary.
* Collaborates with scheduling team to deal with any high priority shipments.
* Operates the forklift when needed to move product or assist with loading and unloading trucks.
* Works closely with Warehouse Supervisor to eliminate waste and increase overall efficiencies.
* Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.
* Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

What You'll Do as a Regional Warehouse Operations Lead:

* Participate in cross-functional meetings, training sessions, and workgroups.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, including 3+ years using ERP systems and digital inventory platforms.
* Proven experience in training or mentoring team members.
Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
* Experience in multi-site warehouse environments preferred.
* Experience in transactional reconciliation and inventory variance resolution strongly preferred

What We're Looking For
Strong physical ability: This job is very labor-intensive. You must be able to lift and move heavy items (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day and work in variable outdoor conditions.
High energy and work ethic: You must be ready to hustle, stay on your feet, and lead by example in a fast-paced, physical setting.
Tech savvy: You must be confident using smartphones, tablets, and apps for inventory, lotting, email, and digital communication. Quick typing and familiarity with iOS/Android required.
Mechanically inclined-able to jumpstart vehicles, check codes, change batteries, and assist in getting vehicles ready for sale
Forklift certified or highly proficient (willing to become certified)
Leadership ability-prior experience supervising or leading a small team preferred
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Flexible schedule with the ability to travel on short notice (sometimes overnight)
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
Auction or warehouse experience is a plus

Job Purpose
This Lead position will support the IDC operation in the Export Department. Duties include but not limited to, assisting supervisors in coordinating daily tasks as well as hands on all functions, driving and achieving deadlines. The Team Lead will be responsible for making sure all processes are being followed and reports are being updated daily through the use of CLICK and other operational systems.
Key Responsibilities

* Works with Human Resources and Warehouse Supervisors on the hiring of new staff by conducting interviews and making hiring decisions or recommendations.

* Resolves personnel issues and problems with supervisors along with help from Human Resources when necessary.
* Approves personnel actions recommended by Warehouse Supervisors, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
* Ensures the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment and oversees the planned maintenance of warehouse vehicles, machinery and equipment.
* Motivates, organizes, & encourages teamwork within the warehouse to ensure set productivity targets are met.
* Develops and manages material storage processes that ensure materials are stored safely, efficiently, and effectively.
* Conducts staff meetings to review and address specific warehouse and company topics with an emphasis on driving continuous improvement efforts.
* Coordinates and monitors the return of damaged goods and documents all transactions.
* Ensures that location validity is maintained for all stock keeping units throughout the warehouse.
* Ensures that proper licenses (forklift, dangerous goods, etc.) are in place for the staff.
