Member Services Representative Starting Pay: $17.00/hour + 90-Day Pay Review Are you passionate about providing exceptional service? Comfortable with numbers and cash handling? You could be the perfect fit for our team as a Member Services Representative (MSR) at Town & Country Credit Union.
As the welcoming face of the credit union, MSRs are often the first and only point of contact for our members. We're seeking individuals who excel in customer service, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy being part of a supportive, member-focused team.
What You'll Do
As an MSR, you'll handle a variety of financial transactions and help create a seamless, friendly experience for our members. Key responsibilities include:
* Processing deposits, withdrawals, loan and credit card payments, cashier's checks, money orders, and cash advances.
* Balancing your cash drawer daily and ensuring all transactions are accurate.
* Assisting members in person, over the phone, and by mail.
* Identifying member needs and cross-selling products and services that add value.
* Resolving member concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* At least one year of related experience in a financial institution or similar cashier role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Accuracy and comfort working with numbers.
* Basic computer proficiency and keyboarding skills.
* Availability for a flexible schedule: varying shifts Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

What the Role Involves
As a Member Experience Representative, you'll handle a wide range of member inquiries across multiple channels including phone, email, and online messaging. You'll assist with account balances, statements, payments, transfers, and digital banking services-all while providing prompt, friendly, and accurate support. In addition to resolving issues, you'll help document member interactions, complete reports, and collaborate with the rest of the Member Experience team to ensure a smooth experience for every member.
What You'll Do
Provide outstanding service to members via phone, email, and other communication channels
Resolve questions related to accounts, transactions, online banking tools, and more
Accurately document member interactions and maintain related records
Support internal functions and work closely with team members in the Member Experience Center
Identify member needs and offer solutions or guidance
Follow all established policies, procedures, and security standards
Report trends, concerns, or recurring issues to the Digital Services and Member Experience Manager
What You Bring to the Table
An associate degree or equivalent experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a financial institution, contact center, or similar service-oriented role preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong listening and problem-solving abilities
Comfort with data entry, keyboarding, and working with numbers
A professional, team-first attitude with a passion for helping others
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
A desire to learn, grow, and meet performance goals
Flexibility to work shifts between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, including rotating Saturday mornings (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

Greet and welcome members to NSCCU in a courteous, professional and timely manner. Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions. Directs member to appropriate department for specific information and service.
Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed and maintain member records according to NSCCU Policy and Procedures.
Train on and develop knowledge of credit union products and services, including robbery procedures.
Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Research and reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
Cross-sells Credit Union services.
Provide in-person and by-telephone general service-related information concerning credit union products and policies. Respond to email or other electronic requests submitted by members.
Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including answering the telephone, scanning, filing, and computer input.
Basic account research.
Process, close and disburse loans for members that are not present.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1.Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all customers and associates.
2.Balance your drawer daily, being no more than $1 off and with total offages not to exceed $100 in a 12 month period.
3.Accurately post transactions.
4.Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
5.Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the customer.
6.Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
7.Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Up to six months of similar or related experience.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.

You stay busy as you efficiently process routine financial teller transactions for our new and existing members.
You have opportunities to utilize your product knowledge and cross-sell financial products and services to meet their current and future financial needs.
You will have the ability to open new accounts, secure retail loans, process transactions and cross-sell products and services to meet members' financial needs and increase member satisfaction.
You provide engaging, personal service to members and truly care about finding real solutions to their financial needs. You are goal-oriented and always learning and improving. You take pride in being the face of FCCU and projecting a positive image to our current and prospective members alike!
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Previous cash-handling preferred
Ability to operate a computer, telephone and other office equipment
Competitive team player, with a positive attitude willing to learn and adapt to change
Ability to communication, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced member service environment
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday part time hours.
