This position will oversee DOT and Safety compliance in all aspects, monitor safety systems in place, and communicate findings to management. The Director of Safety will also assist in conducting audits in maintenance shops, terminals, plants and communicating those results to management. * Provide leadership and establish a safety culture at all plant locations.
* Assist in overseeing all aspects of development, implementation, and management of the Company's DOT Trucking Compliance Programs, including CMV Files, DOT Driver Qualification Files, DOT Drug/Alcohol Programs, Vehicle Inspections, Hours of Service, etc.
* Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Regulations.

* Conduct Maintenance Shop Audits. Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to prevent them from reoccurring, and report all findings to the Director of Maintenance.
* Assist all in developing training & safety programs including safety suite, video coaching systems, online driver training lessons, and electronic logging device (ELD) oversight.
* Maintain documentation necessary to comply with the Safety Management Plan, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.

Education and Experience:
