From that initiative, Morris County Rides (MCRIDES) was created as an independent 501(c)(3) in November of 1986.
Additional staff was hired, programs were expanded, and the team moved in August 1990 to a larger office in Parsippany.
In October of 1995, MCRIDES introduced TRAF-FAX, an area construction and incident alert service.
In February of 2000, after much careful thought and planning, Morris County Rides, Inc. (MCRIDES) officially changed its name to TransOptions, Inc.

In 2018, longtime TransOptions president John Ciaffone announced his retirement and was succeeded by the organization’s third and current president Dan Callas.
