The State Park Police operate in a wide variety of locations - from crowded urban areas within New York City to popular ocean beaches to vast natural areas. On a typical day, a State Park Police Officer may handle very large crowds; assist park users; search for and rescue missing persons; make arrests; conduct criminal and non-criminal investigations; and provide emergency services wherever and whenever they are needed.
Special services the State Park Police also offer include marine law enforcement and education duties on New York waterways, snowmobile enforcement and education, and high angle and swift water rescue teams.
Starting Salary:
* First 6 months of traineeship - $61,587 (at the residential academy)
* Second 6 months of traineeship - $63,192 - $82,525 (rate will be based on what county the Park Police Officer Trainee is assigned to for field training after the 6-month residential academy)
* After traineeship is complete (1 year) - $73,796 - $93,129

Additional Geographic Pay:
Officers who work in the five boroughs of New York City or in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, or Westchester counties will receive an additional $1,762 annual downstate adjustment.
In addition to the downstate adjustment, Police who work in the following locations will receive an additional supplemental local pay in the following amounts: the counties of Orange, Putnam, and Dutchess counties - $1,467; the five boroughs of New York City, Rockland, and Westchester counties - $2,204; and Nassau and Suffolk counties - $2,571.
Officers who work in the Mid-Hudson region (Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester counties) or Downstate region (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, or Suffolk counties) are eligible for an additional $15,000 in geographic pay differentials.

Summary

This multi-year program requires successful trainees who earn a satisfactory performance evaluation and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam to graduate from Engineer Trainee to Assistant Engineer 1 in 18 Months.
Successful Trainees who progress to an Assistant Engineer 1 position will remain in this title at the agency's discretion until they receive their Professional Engineering license from the New York State Department of Education.

Responsibilities

Duties Description ·Conduct audits and examinations of taxpayer's books and records to determine compliance with the various articles of the NYS Tax Law;

At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted

The C&D Delivery Department ensures the efficient, safe, on-scope, on-time, and on-budget execution of capital construction projects, emphasizing excellence in project management from project development and design through construction and handover to the operating agencies. Delivery manages project teams and contractors (typically in a Design-Build contracting structure), tracks project performance, and provides related support services.
C&D Delivery is recruiting engineering college graduates who have obtained their degree within the past eighteen (18) months or who will graduate by December 31, 2025.
Selected candidates should be prepared for a February 12, 2025, Start Date.
Position
Engineering graduates interested in capital projects that rehabilitate, improve, and expand the MTA's extensive network of subway, bus, commuter rail, bridge, and tunnel infrastructure.
We offer opportunities for trainees to develop management and technical skills through on-the-job training involving several challenging assignments and projects.
This multi-year program requires successful trainees who earn a satisfactory performance evaluation and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam to graduate from Engineer Trainee to Assistant Engineer 1 in 18 Months.
Successful Trainees who progress to an Assistant Engineer 1 position will remain in this title at the agency's discretion until they receive their Professional Engineering license from the New York State Department of Education.
The Engineer Trainee Program may change based on the New York State Department of Education requirements.
Responsibilities
The Engineering Trainee shall work under the direction of a Manager or Engineer.
Perform elementary engineering work in scope development, design, request for contract development proposals, or capital construction oversight and/or inspection. Trainees may perform related support functions for capital projects, such as project controls, environmental engineering, or various engineering/technical functions.
Trainees will also receive training in engineering, construction, project management, and/or capital project support work of moderate difficulty and responsibility.
Participate in site visits and fieldwork at various facilities and infrastructure of the MTA operating agencies, including active construction sites.
Manage and contribute to a variety of challenging projects.
Depending upon the assignment, various shifts/days may encompass full participation in all aspects of the organization.
Apply academic learning to engineering principles, critical thinking, and analysis.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Relevant disciplines include Civil/Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Control Systems, or comparable Engineering.

Officers who work in the five boroughs of New York City or in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, or Westchester counties will receive an additional $1,762 annual downstate adjustment.

New York City Transit's Department of Subways, with over 6,400 subway cars and 472 stations, employs 29,000 individuals who work together 24/7, 365 days a year, to move millions of customers safely to their destinations. These employees operate trains, maintain railcars, assist customers in stations, make critical right-of-way and electronic repairs, and provide technical and analytic support to deliver timely and reliable customer services.
The Operations Support Division within the Department of Subways provides analytical and management support to the operating divisions. The division's Performance Analysis Unit (PAU) is an analytical team responsible for owning and interpreting data and analytics for both leadership and operating personnel on subway network service performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will analyze large operational and performance data sets to solve operating issues (for example, analyzing service reliability and train runtime data to identify areas for operational improvements).
* Analyze subway operational and performance data to identify service trends and improvement opportunities
* Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators
* Prepare data-driven presentations for executives, managers, and other stakeholders
* Conduct exploratory data analysis to detect patterns and inform operational decisions
* Collaborate with other Subways groups in addressing cross-cutting challenges
* Assist in developing and reporting on agency-wide performance metrics
* Communicate analytical findings clearly through written reports and visualizations
* Support project-based initiatives and act as a liaison between analytical and operational teams
PROJECTS:
* Identifying and recommending a specific area for a new performance improvement pilot
* Developing a pilot compliance-monitoring dashboard for our operations personnel
* Reporting on pilot outcomes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
* The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
* The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
* The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:

We are looking to bring on a Environmental Engineering/Geologist Intern to join our New York City, NY team during the summer of 2025. This person will assist office engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks. This is a full-time role that will be about 3 months long starting in May or June of 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on, working field experience and be a valuable contributor to our project teams. This role will be based out of our New York City, NY office location.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
* Serve in a field support role, working on technically challenging projects
* Assist engineers and Project Managers with the planning and execution of site characterization programs on various infrastructure and real estate development projects
* Assist with evaluation of subsurface geotechnical and environmental data
* Assist in performing geotechnical design/analysis and developing geotechnical recommendations
* Asist the laboratory manager in running geotechnical testing on soil samples
* Express a willingness to visit construction sites to assist in the field with our construction monitoring service group
* Complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training course where required (not all internship programs will require this training)
* Attend weekly Lunch and Learns
* Attend weekly Internship Community Sessions
* Complete a presentation at the end of the Summer to include, but not limited to:
* Overall internship experience, technical projects review, favorite project, biggest obstacle, etc.
* Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn
* Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
* Computer Skills - Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software
* Driver's license highly preferred
* Ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred)

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
* Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career

The salary range for this position in New York City, NY $25.00 - $27.00 hourly. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. The State Park Police operate in a wide variety of locations - from crowded urban areas within New York City to popular ocean beaches to vast natural areas. On a typical day, a State Park Police Officer may handle very large crowds; assist park users; search for and rescue missing persons; make arrests; conduct criminal and non-criminal investigations; and provide emergency services wherever and whenever they are needed.
Special services the State Park Police also offer include marine law enforcement and education duties on New York waterways, snowmobile enforcement and education, and high angle and swift water rescue teams.
Starting Salary:
* First 6 months of traineeship - $61,587 (at the residential academy)
* Second 6 months of traineeship - $63,192 - $82,525 (rate will be based on what county the Park Police Officer Trainee is assigned to for field training after the 6-month residential academy)
* After traineeship is complete (1 year) - $73,796 - $93,129

Additional Geographic Pay:
Officers who work in the five boroughs of New York City or in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, or Westchester counties will receive an additional $1,762 annual downstate adjustment.
In addition to the downstate adjustment, Police who work in the following locations will receive an additional supplemental local pay in the following amounts: the counties of Orange, Putnam, and Dutchess counties - $1,467; the five boroughs of New York City, Rockland, and Westchester counties - $2,204; and Nassau and Suffolk counties - $2,571.
Officers who work in the Mid-Hudson region (Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester counties) or Downstate region (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, or Suffolk counties) are eligible for an additional $15,000 in geographic pay differentials.
