EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 1. High school diploma or GED preferred. 2. Ability to communicate well with management and other clinic staff. 3. Willingness to uphold company standards for safety and efficiency. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensure and maintain adequate supplies and equipment to carry out the duties necessary to keep the center clean and acceptable. 2. Responsible for cleanliness of the center during working hours. 3. Cleans and decontaminates examination rooms when necessary, following infection control policies and procedures. 4. Cleans bathrooms, hallways, and any other areas by sweeping, mopping, as needed. Makes rounds to ensure cleanliness of the areas during the day at least every 2 to 3 hours. 5. Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various cleaning task. 6. Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning all areas as needed for spills. 7. Empties and decontaminates trash containers at the beginning of evening clinic and as needed. 8. Maintains all lobby areas for cleanliness throughout the day. 9. Puts out wet signs and umbrella bags when weather indicated. 10. Disposes of potentially infectious waste according to biohazard standards when needed. 11. Maintains regular inventory of supplies and provides request for orders to supervisor. Environmental Specialist 12. Maintains offices during the day that require cleaning not supplied by night janitorial staff. 13. Adheres to all environmental services policies and procedures. 14. Maintains a good channel of communication with all departments by periodically checking to ensure that there are no environmental services issues in their areas. 15. Assumes additional duties when necessary to ensure quality environmental services are being rendered at the site. 16.
