1951 Trinity School opened its doors with 20 students.
Trinity first opened its doors in 1953, when Archbishop John Floersh anticipated the growth of Louisville’s eastern suburbs by choosing the site of Holy Trinity School, a former Catholic church and grade school in St Matthews.
1963 The School became the first private school in Georgia to integrate.
1969: Trinity votes to admit women as undergraduates for the first time.
It was formed in 1975 by the merger of the grammar school and secondary modern.
1976 The beloved art auction that would eventually be known as “Spotlight on Art” was first hosted by Trinity parents.
1981 The first Trinity School opens in South Bend, IN.
1987 Trinity School at River Ridge opens its doors in downtown Minneapolis, MN, using space in Gethsemane Episcopal Church.
Trinity School was incorporated in the spring of 1995, and shortly after Labor Day of that same year the school opened its doors to 39 students in three classes covering five grades, K–4.
1995In the winter of 1995, a group began meeting to craft a vision and explore the logistics of a new school.
1996 Trinity School at River Ridge is named a National Blue Ribbon School for excellence in education.
1999 The girls’ soccer team plays in Trinity School’s first MSHSL state championship game.
1999 Swimmer Katie Wind becomes Trinity School’s first individual state champion, winning titles and breaking records in the 200m and 500m freestyle.
2000In the summer of 2000, the school broke ground for its first permanent facilities, funded by Trinity’s first $5 million capital campaign.
2003 Trinity School at River Ridge is accredited by the Independent School Association of the Central States (ISACS).
After years of planning, the Upper School was launched in the fall of 2006.
In 2008, on the 25th anniversary of the report, the Strong American Schools organization found that almost none of the commission’s findings had been addressed or dealt with.
2008 Trinity School at River Ridge moves to its current location and into a brand-new building in Eagan just off of 494 and Delaware Avenue.
2008: Renovation of The Long Walk is completed, preserving the historic and architectural integrity of the three buildings (Seabury, Jarvis, and Northam Towers) while outfitting the classrooms, faculty offices, and student suite-style rooms with modern, state-of-the-art amenities.
2009 Trinity School at River Ridge receives its second National Blue Ribbon School award.
The school saw the graduation of its first class of seniors in the spring of 2010 and has since graduated hundreds of students.
The school converted to being an academy on 1 July 2012, and is no longer directly funded or governed by Nottingham City Council.
2014 The national Trinity Member School initiative begins.
2014 The Girls’ Cross Country team wins the school’s first team State Championship.
2014: Joanne Berger Sweeney becomes the 22nd president of Trinity College, marking many firsts: she is the first woman, first African American, and first neuroscientist to become president of the college.
In 2020, Trinity School celebrated its 25th anniversary.
