US Eagle company history timeline

1935

Established in 1935, American Eagle Financial Credit Union is a full-service credit union headquartered in East Hartford, Connecticut.

United States Eagle has provided value and financial stability for tens of thousands of New Mexicans for more than 80 years! The passion and loyalty of our members, staff, and volunteers has been the key to United States Eagle's growth from our most humble of beginnings in 1935.

United States Eagle Federal Credit Union was founded in 1935 under the name Albuquerque United States Employees Federal Credit Union.

1990

In 1990, their name was changed to United States New Mexico Federal Credit Union to reflect an expanded membership base.

1996

In 1996, EHAFCU changed its name to American Eagle Federal Credit Union to reflect a broadened field of membership and expanded branch network.

2006

Our field of service expanded in 2006 to include people who live, work, worship, attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Hartford County, Middlesex County, or Tolland County, Connecticut.

2013

2015

In March 2015, United States New Mexico Federal Credit Union announced their name would be changing to United States Eagle Federal Credit Union.

In December 2015, United States Eagle acquired the signage rights for Albuquerque Plaza.
