Mark M. Skinner is the President and CEO of U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners, which he co-founded in 2007. From 2000 until 2006, Mr. Skinner was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Retirement Services Division (previously known as The Copeland Companies) of CitiStreet, a joint venture between Citigroup and State Street Corp. The organization he led consisted of 25 regional offices and 500 financial advisors. The organization served more than 4,000 public schools, 500 municipalities, 1,800 hospitals and 6,000 corporations with $20 billion in assets. He was also a member of the Executive Operating Group of CitiStreet, which was the second largest retirement plan recordkeeper in the United States.

Mr. Skinner joined Copeland in 1980, and directed the firm’s operations in Pennsylvania as regional manager and subsequently regional vice president. In 1986, he was promoted to national sales director, and in 1995, he was promoted to president. He led the company’s dramatic growth to annual revenues of $150 million. During his time as president, he redirected the company’s focus to greater emphasis on the long-term planning needs of individual plan participants through the introduction of sales automation tools. This initiative, known as Financial Planning for Retirement, became a core strategy of the organization and a breakthrough industry direction. Coupled with the delivery of voluntary payroll deduction employee benefits, the organization pioneered the delivery of retirement and benefits through a single provider.

For six years prior to joining Copeland, Mr. Skinner’s career focused on employee benefits as an Associate Pension Consultant and a Group Insurance Consultant with UNUM Corp.

Mr. Skinner received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Maine, and is a graduate of The Stanford University Business School Executive Program for Smaller Companies. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Odyssey Funds, as a Corporate Academy Liaison for the National Academy Foundation, and as an active participant in many Habitat for Humanity projects, including rebuilding efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and in New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy. He is a registered principal with FINRA. He also serves as President of USRP Equities and USRP Insurance Agency.

Megan Schneider is the Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners. Among her many responsibilities, Megan leads the company’s technology integration initiatives, and oversees sales growth plans and the continued development and expansion of client services.

Prior to joining USRBP, Megan was the North American Business Operations Leader for Willis Towers Watson’s Health & Benefits Brokerage & Advisory business, serving the middle market. She was responsible for internal operations of the $360M, 900 colleague business, executing on the business and talent strategy with a focus on operational excellence. Megan also held other key leadership positions in Willis Towers Watson’s Health & Benefits business, including Executive Vice President, Northeast Region Operations Director and Metro (NY/NJ/CT) Director of Operations. Prior to her leadership roles, Megan was a Senior Consultant in the legacy Willis Human Capital Practice, managing the employee benefits needs for several marquee client relationships. Before joining Willis, Megan was an associate in the Towers Perrin Health & Welfare practice where she served as the project manager for Towers Perrin’s Stop Loss Purchasing Program and was a vital team member for the three Fortune 100 clients.

Megan received a Bachelor of Science degree with double majors in Finance and Information Systems, as well as a minor in Accounting, from Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business. She also attended New York University’s Stern School of Business, where she earned an MBA with dual specializations in Leadership and Change Management & Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

In 2008, she was recognized by the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW) - NYC, as the Helen M. Garvin Enterprising Achiever Award Recipient. She has also received several internal awards recognizing her outstanding performance over the years including the Willis Northeast MVP and the Towers Perrin Star Performer.

Megan was a featured speaker at the 15th annual Third Party Administrators and Managing General Underwriter Excess Insurance Executive Forum organized by the Self Insurance Institute of America (SIIA) where she addressed more than 500 attendees on methods for risk aversion.

Among her many philanthropic activities, Megan has served as Northeast Chair of The Willis Foundation, as junior board member and on-ice volunteer coach for Figure Skating in Harlem, Inc., and as Corporate Volunteer Day coordinator for Habitat for Humanity.
