The facility is approximately 400 acres and 40 buildings and the incumbent will spend a large portion of his/her time outside and in the manufacturing areas. This position will be exposed to all hazards located at manufacturing sites including noise, fumes, excessive heat and cold, dust, welding arc, all chemicals associated with the manufacturing areas, fire, smoke, unstable debris, confined spaces, and working in high areas. Employees must be able to wear any PPE required to protect against noted hazards and be able to complete related safety training. Must possess valid vehicle operator's license and be able to operate motor vehicles for much of their shift. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk, hear, taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may infrequently be required to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time.
