The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Master Electrician to work at Fort Bragg, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the INSCOM mission.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Responsible the electrical infrastructure of Unit facilities ensuring power to mission critical facilities are maintained to include developing repair and renovation of electrical projects.
+ Provide technical assistance and support in electrical maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and hands-on repairs.
+ Installs and maintains low-voltage (480/277, 600 volts) and below (50/60 HZ) single and multi-phase power wiring. Installs feeder and branch circuits including conduit, service wire, fuse and breaker panels, switches, outlets, junction and outlet boxes, lighting fixtures, splices, connectors, and ground wiring for red and black installations. Ensures that the material used and workmanship meets the requirements of the applicable technical and safety standards.
+ Provide detailed reports on equipment's failures maintenance requirements and lifecycle replacements.
+ Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections orally or in writing through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) regarding malfunctioning/inoperable equipment
+ Use US Army quality assurance procedures to insure that the material used and workmanship meet the requirements of the applicable DoD and military specifications, criteria, procedures, and technical/safety standards.
+ Provide electrical design input to engineering installation plans and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
+ Provide 24-hour 7-day quick reaction technical support to mission critical equipment's.
+ Performs power quality measurements on the commercial and technical power of the facility and plans actions for correction of any deficiencies.
+ Supports US Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
+ Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50lbs.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent and 10 or more years' experience with a valid Electrician license at a State level; or 12 years' experience in an equivalent Military Electrician training/certification.
+ Must have an active Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI after start date.
+ Knowledge of Safe Work practices especially regarding energized work, working at heights and confined spaces per OSHA regulations.
+ Subject matter expertise level familiarity with provisions and applications of the National Electric Code and ability to select and install domestic and foreign materials and devices under the NEC.
+ Command of fluent English, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams written under the ANSI standards.
+ Ability to liaise with Directorate of Public Works and BASOPS to coordinate maintenance and repairs are preformed to standard.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:
To operate and maintain the major building systems that provide required services and critical utilities as needed to maintain life, safety, and production. Shift work required to provide 24 hour 7 day coverage for the Durham manufacturing facility. This is a position that requires attendance during adverse weather conditions.
Commercial / Industrial Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as premises wiring and other electrical related equipment. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
The work of Commercial / Industrial Electricians can often be physically demanding. In order to install and repair equipment, they may need to crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time. They must also be able to operate tools in close proximity to electrical components.
They must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient. Commercial / Industrial Electricians must also be able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions. They must also be motivated to work on their own and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
Main Accountabilities:
· Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment up to 480V. Candidates will further be able to install, repair, and maintain motor control centers (MCC).
· Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
· Make decisions based on technical documents.
· Perform quality testing and inspections.
· Monitor/operate equipment in order to maintain and/or improve the proper, safe, and efficient functionality of facilities assets.
· Monitor and operate building maintenance system, environmental monitoring system and fire system. Respond to alarms and other urgent facility situations.
· Perform Preventative, Corrective, Predictive and Breakdown work orders on carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, chillers, steam and hot water boilers, fire system and other types of facility equipment as required.
· Troubleshoot advanced mechanical and electrical problems on various pieces of facility equipment. Use problem-solving tools to identify root cause for repetitive breakdowns or other losses.
· Requires the ability to use computers for document editing, computerized maintenance management system. Should have basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
· Ensure that all assigned scheduled preventive maintenance tasks are completed.
· Must be able to work safely, use all personal protective equipment as required by OSHA and job requirements.
· Maintain excellent team working relationships and ownership of equipment and reliability while driving 100% customer satisfaction throughout all departments
· Participate in training as needed.

Two (2) year college degree in a technical science/trade or equivalent work experience.
Three years apprenticeship in the electrical trade.
Required.
Experience: Five plus years experience in commercial electrical distribution system installation and maintenance, required.
Healthcare experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: A city/county journeyman's card and/or an electrician's license from state of employment, required.
Additional Skills Required: Applied knowledge in the application and practice of life safety, electrical and building codes.
Extensive knowledge in repair and installation of electrical equipment, systems and devices.
Ability to analytically troubleshoot electronic and electrical equipment, including but not limited to, A/C equipment, switchgear and motor control centers.
Extensive knowledge in operations and maintenance of emergency generator sets and transfer switch equipment.
Thorough knowledge and skill in the use of electrical testing devices.
Thorough knowledge in understanding and utilizing technical service manuals, electrical schematics and blue prints.
Valid Driver's License in state of employment.
Additional Skills Preferred: Knowledge in the operation and repair of mechanical equipment.
Thorough knowledge in the use of personal computers and PC programs.
Ability to hear and understand verbal communication changes in machine/equipment noises.
