Dan is the Executive Chair and CEO of Greengate, a leading Canadian renewable energy company. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Dan is an award-winning entrepreneur with a proven track record of successful business ventures.Dan currently co-leads the Greengate team, which is focused on the development of renewable energy and next-generation energy projects of scale. To date, Greengate has successfully developed close to 1 GW of operating and in-construction renewable energy projects in Canada, including the country’s largest wind energy and solar energy projects. These projects represent over $1.6 billion of investment, are expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1.5 million tonnes per year and produce enough renewable energy to power more than 350,000 homes.Prior to starting Greengate Power, Dan was the Founder, President and CEO of Roughneck.ca, a leading provider of software solutions to the Canadian oil and gas industry. Prior to his tenure with Roughneck.ca, Dan worked as a management consultant with EY and PwC. Dan was a Senior Manager with PwC, where he was a key member of the firm’s management consulting practice.Dan graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He is currently a member of the board of the Pembina Institute, formerly Chair of the Calgary JCC, formerly national First Vice President of JNF Canada, and formerly a member of the board of the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta.
