The NAME of the organization was amended in 1983 to: Union County Economic Development Corporation (UCEDC).
Purchasing of the Baum Industrial Park in 1989, UCEDC helped existing businesses such as Eagle Cap Steel and Supply, HNS, Boise Cascade, and Eagle Carriage and Machine to expand and create new jobs.
After UCEDC sold the remaining 60 acres of in the Baum Industrial Park to Sustainable Energy in 2002, they purchased a total of 63.18 acres in the Gekeler Park.
In 2012, The Business Recruitment Program has started and is moving forward.
