Diesel Mechanic Position Summary:
This position is required to safely and accurately perform general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and understanding of basic preventative maintenance and repair techniques of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles to include tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is required.
Diesel Mechanic Essential Functions:
All fleet mechanic positions will be required to perform vehicle maintenance & repair duties safely and accurately in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment.
Fleet Mechanic Apprenticeswill receive hands on training and instruction on preventive maintenance/inspections/repairs of Class 5 through Class 8 Commercial Vehicles and maintenance/inspection of tank trailers.

Handle and Route Non-Conforming Materials (NCM) in accordance with established procedures and practices.

Checks finished product for quality issues, as it comes off the conveyor.
Packs plastic containers and lids of various sizes into sleeves & boxes (0 to less than 5

Hand tape or send boxed product to the “tape machine”.

Job Summary: The technician is responsible for the maintenance, continual operation and continuous improvement of all DOD lines and related auxiliary equipment. Software knowledge of CPST, Atlantic Zeiser and Precision Finishing lines
Shrink-wrap and oven operational knowledge
Multi feeder and labeler operational knowledge
Hot melt equipment and operational application knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the company
Proficient in basic computer operations
