In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair work such as preventive maintenance on appliances and cooling equipment in the 50+ buildings on campus. We'll rely on you to conduct job assessments, create quotes and estimates, and research part replacements.

Minimum Qualifications:
CT2 - Refrigeration Technician. Ten years of experience with industrial tools and/or hand tools related to the trades. Must have commercial or industrial experience. Must possess a valid EPA Clean Air Act 608 Universal Certification.
CT3 - Master Level Refrigeration Technician. 15 years of experience and CT2 qualifications. Must possess a valid EPA Clean Air Act 608 Universal Certification.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAA Main campus in Anchorage. This position is full-time, forty-hour work week, with overtime as required. UAA has flexible work programs available to eligible employees who have successfully completed the probationary period. These programs are subject to University business needs and compliance with active labor union contracts. Typical work hours are 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working hours are generally aligned to business hours, Monday - Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work is required. The Maintenance System Technician (MST) is responsible for managing and maintaining the college's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate asset data, efficient work order processing, and optimized maintenance operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilities Management
Maintain and update CMMS asset registry, work orders, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Collect and verify equipment data, including tagging and hierarchy setup.
Generate reports and analyze maintenance data for performance improvement.
Provide training and technical support to CMMS users.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for system updates and enhancements.
Ensure compliance with data standards and quality control procedures.
Setting up a clean and orderly parts cage.
Maintaining a clean and orderly parts cage.
Ensure appropriate stocking levels are set up and maintained for all spare parts used on campus.
Place orders for parts when needed from various vendors.
Fill in for Front Desk and Facilities Operations Assistant Manager as needed.
Coordinate repairs with outside vendors.
Assign work orders to Facilities and Maintenance staff.
Consult with various departments and individuals to coordinate maintenance scheduling.
Send notice to affected departments and individuals of planned maintenance performed by both Harvey Mudd Technicians and vendors.
Create and maintain files in accordance with the department filing system.

Required Education, Experience, and Certification:
Education

Experience:

Required to possess and maintain a valid California Driver License and a DMV record that meets the requirements set by the College's insurance carrier.

Job Summary
The Temp Security Technician routinely patrols Anchorage School District property to prevent vandalism and burglary, assists in arming security systems, investigates issues, and implements board policy relating to security.
Job Requirements
The following are required:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
The individual must have a clean driving record and be readily able to locate and drive to any and all ASD facilities with either a district-provided or personal vehicle.
The individual must be able to readily enter and egress vehicles and buildings, perform facility walk-throughs and inspections, etc.
This position requires the wear of distinctive security officer clothing, to be provided at the employee's expense.
Must have knowledge of office procedures and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain a neatly and legibly written daily log of activities.
Must have the capability to prepare and interpret written instructions and reports, and to write clear and concise correspondence, memoranda, and reports.
Must have the knowledge of and experience with computerized security alarm systems as well as single-line facility layouts for purposes of identifying breach points, sources of trouble, etc.
Must be able to train others in the use of computerized security alarm systems.
Must be able to perceive and react to possible problems in the field.
Must be willing to work variable and flexible hours, day or night, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to remain alert and work well under stress.
Must have the ability to operate a Windows computer and Microsoft Office Professional software.
Note: This position does not require and does not allow for the carrying of displayed or concealed weapons. Weapons are not permitted in school buildings or on school grounds, except as allowed for sworn law enforcement personnel such as officers with the Anchorage Police Department.
Essential Job Functions
Implements Anchorage School Board policies as they pertain to security operations.
Receives alarm calls from monitoring agency and determines and initiates appropriate response, whether by self, the security company, or the Anchorage Police Department.
Provides routine patrolling of ASD property to prevent vandalism and burglary.
Assists ASD custodians and others in resolving alarm system arming problems.
Checks out late-to-close situations at ASD facilities.
Investigates vandalism, theft, and break-ins. Works with local law enforcement as appropriate.
Advises the director of Operations and other ASD officials regarding incidents.
Maintains basic records of all security activities while on shift. Follows up on selected items as requested by supervisors.
Collaborates with ASD electronic technicians regarding the repair and maintenance of alarm equipment, troubleshooting activities, etc.
Helps organize and implement high school graduation week security enhancements.
Helps implement and maintain Camper Host Security Program activities at selected schools.
Conducts investigations of security complaints originating on ASD property.
Advises the director of Operations of security problem areas that require special attention.

New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, starting at $23.38, based on education and experience.
