The PM will work collaboratively with the Faculty Associate Director for Student Engagement (FAD) and the rest of the BCSE team to develop student experiences inside and outside the classroom to build confidence, competence and capacity to understand, experience, communicate, and celebrate sustainability. Reporting to the BCSE Director of Operations, the PM enhances and advances BCSE faculty and staff expertise as they provide support for student-focused activities across all fields, schools and colleges at CU Boulder, including courses, workshops, consultations, performances, retreats, asynchronous resources, and related professional development activities. The PM also helps to nurture and advance OVCS and campus-wide sustainability initiatives, as well as the common core curricular focus on sustainable futures. Who We Are The University of Colorado Boulder has launched the Buckley Center for Sustainability Education (BCSE), a bold new initiative under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Sustainability (OVCS), supported by a transformational gift. The goal of the center is to further integrate and expand sustainability education into the curriculum offerings across all of CU Boulder's departments and degree programs, elevate the campus' baseline sustainability literacy, and develop the university as a leader in sustainability education nationally and internationally. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be * Partnering with the FAD and entire BCSE team to develop and support sustainability-focused student internships and project-based learning from logistics to co-envisioning. * Partnering with the FAD and entire BCSE team to support the SPIKE Student Scholars. * Partnering with the FAD to design and report on the ways student voices are imagining the value of this new initiative on campus * Providing undergraduate and graduate student opportunities to be heard and supported on their sustainability education paths * Identifying and creating ways to amplify the voices of students who care about sustainability * Tracking and evaluating student contributions to BCSE, campus, and beyond * Co-creating sustainability educational content to showcase student experiences and work What You Should Know * The work schedule will consist of traditional business hours (8:00am-5:00pm), with occasional requests for evening and/or weekend event staffing. * This position is expected to work in a hybrid format with some in-person and some remote work as prioritized by the business needs of the office. * Once the center's physical location is established, this position is expected to provide regular, in-person staffing at the center to ensure coverage during campus regular operating hours. The consortium's mission is to advance understanding of Alzheimer's and related dementias by using advanced brain imaging and fluid biomarkers to identify multiple disease causes and their associated timelines. By developing tools for more accurate diagnosis and staging, CLARiTI will illuminate the additional disease burden that contributes to dementia progression. The Program Supervisor will work on the study sponsor team, collaborating with ADRCs nationwide. The incumbent will assist in overseeing study activities, serving as a subject matter expert on the CLARiTI program, collaborating with our many partners including the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC). Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit Facilities Design and Construction (FDC) provides overall planning, design, and construction management of both new and renovation capital improvement and non-capital projects for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Through assessment of existing facilities and direction from senior administrative officers, the department manages the budget, design, and construction of these projects. The goal of the department is to ensure that the University obtains what is needed, at the desired quality, and the project is constructed within the determined schedule and budget. FDC actively manages approximately 90+ projects simultaneously with total funding of over $400 million dollars annually from State appropriations, State R&R funds or self-liquidated monies. The department directly interfaces with all university divisions, State Construction Office administrators, UNC System Administration, external design firms, contractors and vendors. Position Summary This Engineer position is responsible for comprehensive and simultaneous Project Management of multiple UNCG projects of various sizes. Projects will range in value from less than $30K up to and potentially exceeding the $4M threshold for full NC State Construction Office oversight. The purpose and intent of this Engineer position is to execute the following duties for assigned projects: * Act as agent for the department maintaining responsibility for customer relations and customer satisfaction. * Perform pre-design, advance planning, or programming services as demanded by the project requirements; and provide management and oversight of contracted design and construction services. Duties shall be as necessitated by project requirements and may include, but are not limited to: * Writing and creating project related technical scoping documents for customers and consultants; development and management of project schedules and budgets. * Technical review of construction documents. * Oversight and management of construction activities in the field. * Implicitly within these duties are administrative tasks associated with the formation of contracts, processing of payments, and maintenance of project records in digital and hard copy formats. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in the engineering discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience * Some positions may require licensure by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. * All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
