Responds to consults, schedules procedures and handles discharge planning, as appropriate. Performs or assists with procedures of higher complexity in clinic or inpatient unit. Monitors and manages invasive and/or medical devices and placement of devices within scope of practice. May manage care of pre/post-operative and pre/post-procedural patients. Formulates comprehensive health management plans for high acuity, more complex patients in collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals to include progress notes, narrative discharge summaries, consults, etc. Facilitates patient participation in making health care decisions. Enters pertinent clinical information in the patient's medical record in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with established compliance billing guidelines. Documents and closes open encounters, MyChart messages, and other EMR communications in accordance with institutional requirements. Call coverage may be required specific to departmental needs. Obtains patient histories, performs physical examinations and/or diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests for patients with high level of complexity. Reviews, prescribes and/or recommends medications and treatments to patients May provide education and instruction. In addition to the pre-award proposal and post-award grant support, CAS-ORS promotes the research and scholarship success of our faculty, correspondingly increasing our visibility within the university, our local community stakeholders, and our national and international peers. POSITION SUMMARY: The Unit Research Administrator position provides various levels of fiscal and administrative support to CAS Departments. This position may support departments housed in the School of Natural Sciences & Mathematics (SNSM), the School of Social Sciences (SSS), the School of Humanities (SHUM), or Centers and Institutes. This position acts as a primary contact between Principal Investigators and Sponsored Research on the identification, development, review, submission and subsequent administration of grants and contracts. This position supports researchers by preparing budget projections, developing materials for compliance analysis, and advising the researchers concerning the review of the proposals by Sponsored Research. This position requires the knowledge of federal sponsor agency guidelines and regulations (NSF, NIH, NEH, etc.), OMB Uniform Guidance, and private sponsor agency (private foundation, corporate) guidelines. In addition, this position must interpret and apply varied Federal, State, and University policies and regulations through the entire proposal and contract process. After awards are made the position provides guidance to researchers on administrative steps such as setting up accounts, reconciling the projects on a regular basis, reviewing and approving invoices and financial reports prepared by Sponsored Research, preparing expenditure transfers and override requests with supporting justification, and reviewing the final reconciliation of the projects prepared by Sponsored Research. ANNUAL SALARY: $60,000 Responsibilities Proposal Development and Pre-Award: Works closely with faculty in the development of proposals while ensuring compliance with applicable sponsor, University Sponsored Research, Foundation and College of Arts and Sciences regulations, guidelines and processes. NCT-Operations is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and configuration of Local Area Network across FSU campus. This includes network switching, Voice hardware, Wireless access points, UPS maintenance, port activation and Life cycle replacement of Network hardware. NCT-Operations is also responsible for troubleshooting Network outages and works directly with our Architecture, Infrastructure and Engineering groups. Designs, installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots and manages a varied base of installed networking equipment, which encompasses both wired and wireless data networks. Collects and monitors data for system usage, performance, and vulnerabilities in support of ITS staff and campus network members. Advises management and team members to revisions of established policies, procedures, and standards. Designs, installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots, and manages a varied base of installed networking equipment, operating software, and/or network security applications, which encompasses wired and wireless data networks servicing voice, video and data applications on campus. A State vehicle, golf cart, utility vehicle, or all-terrain vehicle will be used to reach site premises. A valid driver's license will be needed in order to operate a vehicle.
