University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana offers select academic and professional degree majors, which are taught using a distinctive, one-of-a-kind method. UM Western is perhaps the only school to offer its particular educational method, which is called Experience One. Conceived at UM Western, Experience One is a unique way of teaching and studying, in which the study of a subject lasts 18 days, giving students an intense short-term immersion in a particular subject area. Even though it's part of the University of Montana system, UM Western is a small school where small classes facilitate and accelerate the Experience One learning process. Since it is a state university, tuition costs are less for Montana state residents. Students may also apply for financial aid.
