Purpose:
Works in either or both inpatient and outpatient settings. Implements treatment plans established by a CPRS Level 2 or Sr. CPRS, including progressive ambulation, exercise equipment orientation and training, education on disease states, smoking cessation, recovery and risk factor modifications. Evaluates patient progress while implementing plan to improve functional capacity. Documents exercise session details, response and progression and educate according to established plan. At some sites provides orientation, oversight, and completion of necessary paper work for participants in the Employee Wellness Program. Maintains open communication with coworkers, physicians and other department staff.
Responsibilities:
* Participates in the Co-Worker Feedback program if asked
* Completes annual competencies as required by department
* Provides adequate orientation, oversight, and assures completion of necessary paper work for participants in the Employee Wellness Program
* Prepares for and responds to emergencies in a manner consistent with department guidelines
* Promotes effective communication and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork within the department, the hospital and with other health care professionals.
* Upon request by Manager, assists with staff development, special projects and community programs
* Conducts, organizes and participates in meetings, inservices and continuing education
* Implementation of individualized patient treatment plan established by a CPRS or Sr. CPRS and monitoring of patient progress.
* Develops inpatient discharge plans.
* Utilizes clinical support staff in a manner that both verbally and non-verbally promotes respect, confidence and a team atmosphere.
* Modification and documentation of treatment with accuracy and with respect to patient's age and medical history.
Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited Exercise Physiology or related program with a minimum Bachelor's level preparation.
* Active membership in professional organization(s) and recent experience in Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehabilitation preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

* Maintains written documentation for all occupational therapy services rendered, including documentation of initial assessment, follow-up visits, and discharge summary consistent with department standards.

* Completes necessary charge and statistical information to accurately reflect the service rendered to the patient.
* Schedules patients to achieve and maintain a level of productivity which meets or exceeds the standard established for the facility by the organization while ensuring delivery of quality patient care.

Schedule/Travel: Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:30AM-7PM. 8 or 10 hour shifts may be needed. This position may be on call/scheduled in advance to cover medical leaves and vacations. Travel may be required to both of our Children's Therapy Centers - McMurray, PA (Waterdam Plaza) and Washington, PA (North Avenue).

The Department seeks candidates who conduct experimental research, especially those whose work incorporates developmental, cognitive neuropsychological and/or cognitive neuroscientific approaches. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration. The JHU Cognitive Science department is a highly interdisciplinary department that has extensive interactions with related departments, including Computer Science, Psychological and Brain Sciences, Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Neurology.
We anticipate hiring at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, but will also consider exceptional candidates at the Assistant Professor stage, especially those nearing completion of their tenure review. All appointees at the Associate and Full Professor level are expected to be pre-eminent experts in their field. All candidates should be committed to both research and teaching excellence. All appointees are expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level.
The expected academic base salary range is: $110,000- $144,500 (Assistant Professor level), $131,500 - $201,000 (Associate Professor level), and $156,00 - $316,000 (Full Professor level).

Coordinating care for a group of complex patients to achieve clinical and organizational outcomes
Provide direct clinical care for patients at the time of initial evaluation for diagnostic assessment, urgent and walk-in care, and triage.
Documentation of psychiatric issues and needs identified during counseling sessions.
Establish goals and objectives to meet the psychological needs of the patient in collaboration with other members of the mental health treatment team.
Maintain resource network for the purpose of referrals and consults that impact treatment progress of the patient.
Conduct ongoing counseling sessions as deemed clinically appropriate.
Provide patient education in all aspects of HIV disease, including how to cope with mental health issues and side effects of HIV and psychiatric medications.
Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve stated goals for enhanced mental health and abstinence of substance use.
Participate in relevant training, clinical supervision, conferences, and multidisciplinary patient care.
Provide psychiatric services in coordination with the HIV/AIDS County Program in Baltimore County, Howard County, Frederick County and Anne Arundel County.
Maintain and provide the city and state agencies the appropriate documentation for the reports needed for the Ryan White Grants, which fund the program, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Attend the required meetings for the Ryan White Grants.
Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field. Maryland State licensure as a Professional Counselor, Social Worker, or Psychologist. Two years related experience in a health care clinical setting. Must maintain license and certification throughout duration of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Maryland State licensure as a Professional Counselor, Social Worker, or Psychologist.
Experience working with HIV/AIDS patients.
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications:

House Bill 486 - Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct Prevention Statement
Pursuant to Section 6-113.2 of the Education Article, Annotated Code of Maryland - House Bill 486 - Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct Prevention all applicants are required to report all former employers in which you may have had direct contact with minors.
