EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required * Education * Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related design field. * Experience * 5 years professional level experience in related industry field. * Licenses and Certifications * Architectural, Interior or equivalent license Upon Hire Preferred * Experience * Interior Design Project Management experience is preferred. * Proficiency in MS Office and Autodesk AutoCAD is preferred, plus a willingness to learn software specific to UT Southwestern. JOB DUTIES * Supports the Construction Project Managers in the management of the consultants/vendors who prepare the interior furniture and finish specifications for projects. * Reads and review plans and contract documents related to coordination of design projects and standardization efforts. * Manages Architecture Engineering (AE) standardization efforts as it relates to interior furniture and finishes in drawings and master specifications. * Supports the Construction Project Managers for coordination with vendors including AE consultants. Performs necessary site visits to ensure adherence to design guidelines and specifications of design projects. * Coordinates with AE consultants all necessary design standards documentation to adhere to design guidelines and specifications on contract documents. * Proactively seeks to understand the needs of our vendors. Performs research, provides support, guidance, recommendation deliver the highest standards of service. * Evaluates, recommends, and executes continuous improvements to policies, standards, procedures and guidelines. * Performs other duties as assigned.
