A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area. * Assign tasks, monitor performance of and assists in training patient service representative. * Screen candidates, recommend hires, conduct performance appraisals and recommend corrective counseling. * Develop, implement, and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization such as, reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program. * Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems. * Adjust employees, patients and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems. * Control and audit the reconciliation of day sheets including adjusting statistics in the computer data bank. * Produce reports as needed.
