UDWI REMC company history timeline

1936

In January 1936, Boone County REMC ran its first 5 miles of power lines to the Clark Woody farm.

On Wednesday September 30, 1936, The Greencastle Daily Banner heralded the announcement that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt officially started his reelection campaign the day before.

1939

The heritage of WIN Energy REMC dates back to 1939 when both Knox and Sullivan County REMC's were incorporated.

1997

WIN Energy REMC was formed October 1, 1997, with the merger of Knox and Sullivan County REMC's.
