Vern Eide GM is looking for a Reconditioning Service Technician to add to our talented crew. If you've got some automotive repair experience, your own basic tools, and a knack for problem-solving, we want to hire you - and soon! This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Overtime may be available, but is not required. Starting pay is $20- $24 an hour, depending on experience, with a full benefits package. You'll be working in a climate-controlled facility (no matter the season!) that features new hoists, new benches, and no flat-rate work. Plus, our shops are a really fun place to work - with great people and full access to tech fridges/pantries filled with FREE food, snacks, and drinks while you're on the job.

Key Responsibilities
Recondition incoming trade vehicles by performing inspections, changing oil/fluids/filters/wiper blades, and performing any basic repairs that the vehicle needs upon your first look.
Perform light mechanical work such as brakes, tires, alignments, battery installs, fuel pumps, axle seals, oil cooler lines, and other similar repairs.
Light diagnostic work may also be required.

Safely filling CO2 and compressed air tanks for paintball markers

* Travel independently to assigned locations using personal or rental transportation as needed; adhere to mileage reimbursement and safety guidelines.

Begin a new career as a Diesel Technician Apprentice! C & B Operations with 36 John Deere dealerships in 6 states is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Roscoe, South Dakota dealership.
The C & B Ag Diesel Apprenticeship is a unique opportunity for mechanically minded individuals to gain an advanced knowledge of Ag Diesel Technology without the traditional technical school format or expense.
Candidates who are accepted into the program will gain paid full-time employment and be paid for both their training and working time. Individuals must commit to a rigorous training schedule comprised of (1) personal instruction through John Deere University online courses, (2) concentrated instructor-led training and (3) competency based on the job learning. Occasional travel and overnight stays are required to access critical training resources and to accommodate the accelerated pace of instruction. Upon demonstration of all required competencies, apprentices will receive a Certificate of Apprenticeship in Ag Diesel Technology.

Essential Duties:
Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment
Participates in Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Completes all job notes required in conjunction with work assignments
Accounts for all time on a digital timecard and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
Promotes and sells the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts to increase customer safety and satisfaction
Follows all safety procedures and works in a safe manner
Assists with other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications:
