Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational programs.
Participate in the promotion and delivery of new house wide initiatives as well as new nurse orientation at UW Health.
Complete assigned Nursing Education Specialist (NES) responsibilities based on needs of the department.
Provide expertise and resources in the area of support; for this position, three years of oncology/hematology inpatient nursing experience and at least one year of medical surgical nursing experience is highly preferred as well as experience in educating nurses.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, nurses in the inpatient operating room address acute and chronic disease processes with impressive technology and surgical intervention. Together with partners in surgery, anesthesia, and surgical technology, nurses in the operating room truly provide Remarkable Healthcare.

Areas of inpatient support include the 9-bed dialysis unit located within University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Support is also provided to the dialysis nurses who travel within the Madison area to provide inpatient dialysis services at University Hospital, American Family Children's Hospital, East Madison Hospital, Meriter Hospital and the local VA Hospital.

The Forensic Nurse Examiner provides timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to victims of violence. This may include a forensic exam, laboratory testing, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings and other duties as required. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Diploma or degree in nursing and/or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. Certificate of completion for an approved Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Adult/Adolescent or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Pediatric course. If not completed, these trainings will be provided.
Preferred/Optional: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Two years hospital nursing experience and experience evaluating and caring for victims of assault, domestic abuse, child and elder abuse, neglect, and sexual crimes.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license and/or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Role Overview
As a Registered Nurse - OB, you'll work in both OB and Med/Surg units, caring for a wide range of patients. Responsibilities include:
Labor and delivery
Postpartum care
Mother and baby care
Qualifications
Required: Wisconsin RN license
Preferred: Prior OB experience; Epic experience a plus
Hours/ Schedule:
Night Shift 7pm-7am
5 shifts in the bi-weekly pay period
Rotating holidays
Rotating weekends
Wage:
Starting Rate: $37.08/hour (based on experience)
Differentials: Night and weekend pay
