This role is ideal for a technician who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering calm, focused care under pressure. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: Triage incoming patients and assist veterinarians in determining treatment priorities Obtain patient history, vitals, and diagnostic samples quickly and accurately Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administer medications and fluids as directed Assist with radiographs, wound management, oxygen therapy, and critical care monitoring Run in-house lab tests and prepare samples for outside diagnostics Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, including anesthesia and recovery Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients regarding treatment plans, estimates, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records (EzyVet experience a plus) Provide gentle, low-stress handling and compassionate care for patients in pain or distress Support and collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth, efficient patient flow Ensure exam and treatment areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked Participate in ongoing training, team education, and hospital improvement initiatives Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or similar setting (required) CVT/LVT licensure in Pennsylvania (preferred) Proficient in animal handling, restraint, and emergency medical procedures Demonstrates strong technical ability, communication, and teamwork skills Able to remain calm, organized, and professional in fast-paced or stressful situations; compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn in a collaborative team environment.
