Responsibilities:
Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
(For some clients) Provide transportation for clients to and from appointments, errands, etc.
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in direct care
Punctuality, reliability, compassion, patience, empathy
Strong ability to read, write, understand, and speak English so as to:
Read ADL's
Communicate verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and administrative staff
Vehicle or transportation
Ability to add Business Class 30 to car insurance (reimbursed up to $50)
Valid MA Driver's License
Pass a background check
At least 2 professional references (not friends)
Be willing to accept at least 1 e/o weekend shift
Preferred:
