Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for emergency support as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, 10, 11) and Office suites. Knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, and printing devices. Experience with imaging technologies and deployment processes. Understanding of IP networking and connectivity. Experience with Active Directory administration tools. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Mobile device configuration and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Perform immunohematological procedures under routine and emergency protocols for antibody detection, compatibility testing, simple antibody identification, and investigation of transfusion reactions, prediction/detection of Hemolytic Disease of the Newborn, identification of RhIG candidates, and other diagnostic testing. Understand special protocols for blood orders, including those for Pediatrics, Open Heart surgery, Liver Transplantation, ECMO, HSC, T, and other specialized transfusion protocols-process transfusion instructions from transplant programs. Issue blood components via electronic crossmatch and remote release via the Hemosafe (where applicable). Report results of tests performed to physicians, other health care professionals, and institutions. Carry an appropriate electronic communication device (cell phone, etc.) at all times, and respond within 10 minutes. Verify functionality of devices during On-call hours. Lab report, alert, and able to work as required, within 45 minutes of notification. Communicate On-call issues promptly, clearly, and effectively, including scheduling, specimen, patient, donor problems, etc., with appropriate contact(s) based on the situation. This may include contacting the Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and Technologists, other Bloodworks departments, hospital coordinators and surgeons, and other organ transplant institutions. Perform assays accurately within time expectations for emergency testing while assuring assay quality. Document when time expectations and/or test quality expectations are not met. Technologists with less than 3 years' experience in an ASHI-approved laboratory must consult with the Director on call, Supervisor, Qualified Technologist, or Lead Technical Coordinator to review results and reports before release. Create and review reports. Sign-off of reports will occur with a Supervisor Qualified Technologist or Lead Technical Coordinator. Medical Technologist education and/or certification (ASCP) fulfills the educational qualification requirement. A bachelor's degree is required for CHT eligibility. What You'll Do: Assemble, modify, and repair developmental electronic circuit boards Diagnose and repair PCBA assemblies down to the component level Build and troubleshoot prototype circuits for R&D and warranty investigations Operate test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies Read and interpret technical documentation-schematics, BOMs, debug guides, and test procedures Work with Engineering and Customer Service teams to analyze board failures and improve product performance Collaborate on quality goals and diagnostic efficiency Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the Electronics Lab Please note this is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements What You Bring: 2-5 years of experience in prototype board assembly and troubleshooting Proficiency in soldering (through-hole and SMT), and strong knowledge of electronic theory Experience with lab test equipment and PCB diagnostics Ability to read complex technical documentation and work independently Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
