You will be instrumental in maintaining project efficiency and delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities: Manage and track the submittal and RFI (Request for Information) processes. Assist in Change Order pricing and ensure accurate documentation. Distribute Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and issue subcontractor notices. Process Purchase Order requests and track material releases. Conduct quality checks on delivered materials to meet project standards. Update project drawings and create a conforming set for team use. Maintain and update the project directory for accurate communication. Conduct new worker orientations and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Perform safety walks and SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) inspections. Build and maintain the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required). Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer (preferred). Proven experience in project management or an engineering role. Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Engineer VI, I&C should have extensive experience with power plant system instrumentation and control strategies and must have technical knowledge of legacy equipment and a thorough understanding of digital control systems design that are based on the latest digital platforms. Engineer VI, I&C will be responsible for planning, organizing, and preparing modifications and shall be capable of independently evaluating, selecting, and using standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for technical projects. Engineer VI, I&C must be familiar with codes and standards applicable to the nuclear power industry as well as possess a working knowledge of applicable NRC regulations. Typical activities include developing specifications and/or modification packages, defining I&C design scope, developing design criteria documents, identifying, and selecting control valves and instruments, developing control system functionality, developing control system architectures, and defining I/O device interfaces. The position includes managing budget, scope schedule and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight. Position will require the ability to devise new approaches to technical problems with a broad knowledge of precedents in the industry. The position will require interfacing and coordinating with multiple design disciplines as well as with the customers representatives. Engineer VI, I&C must be able to work on project teams with other engineers to evaluate conditions as well as proposed modifications which will improve plant performance, safety, and reliability. Engineer VI, I&C must have experience in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data prepared by other engineers. Managing project teams as well as providing mentoring oversight to entry level and junior engineers will be required. Education Required (minimum): + BS in electrical, mechanical, nuclear, chemical, computer or process/controls engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program that includes course work in analog and digital control systems. Experience Required (minimum): + 18 years (minimum) of experience with at least 8 of those years with nuclear power, preferably with digital/analog controls systems is required. + Experience with operating plant procedures, processes and nuclear plant licensing. Other Required Qualifications (minimum): + Engineer VI, I&C must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. + Effective time management skills are required as position may involve working on several projects concurrently. + Engineer VI, I&C will be required to understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and processes. + Ability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access is required. + Overtime work is required at times. + Travel is required to client sites with occasional periods of field/office work. + Ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, to include climbing ladders, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined spaces and controlled hazardous areas is required. What You Will Do: This position will take the lead on planning and designing new and upgraded transmission and substation facilities, while also serving as a technical authority on NERC compliance matters. In addition, you will: Develop protection, control and automation schemes for transmission systems and distribution substations, and work with Operations crews to test and commission schemes in the field. Physical Requirements Ability to communicate orally with management and co-workers, both individually and in a group/ team. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Ability to relocate equipment that may weigh up to 50 pounds. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, telephones, and copiers. Work Environment The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor.
