JOB SUMMARY:
Operations supervisor for a worldwide distribution center for Polaris' Parts, Garments and Accessories (PGA) business unit. Establish departmental policies and procedures. Coordinate department activities and special projects. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for departmental Safety, Quality and Productivity goals and objectives. Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations:
Manage department activities and special projects to ensure efficiency and quality while exceeding daily order response and program goals.
Responsible for department to achieve warehouse safety, quality and productivity goals.
Evaluate department processes by recommending and coordinating needed changes based on process analysis.
Define and manage departmental budget in the areas of labor (hours and cost), packaging, maintenance and other associated costs.
Direct staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports (e.g. Weekly employee productivity, quality and safety performance reports, departmental processes, etc.).
In partnership with Group Leads, responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
Serve on committees and teams as department representative.
People:
Supervise staff of up to 15 employees in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide discipline and corrective action as required.
Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and ensure proper training and employee orientation is provided.
Coach and provide career development advice to staff.
Establish departmental and employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
Coordinate with Human Resources and Temporary Agencies for appropriate staffing levels.
Schedule and conduct staff meetings.
Communicate to all levels of the organization on topics of daily goals, performance feedback, departmental, organization and company initiatives, etc.
Complete human resources, payroll and other paperwork as required in specific department
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
3+ years large scale automated, distribution/manufacturing operations experience, including budget/expense responsibility required.
Strong problem-solving skills, proven capabilities of root causing issues and driving sustained solutions supported by metrics.
Talented communicator, capable of communicating complex messages to diverse groups with proven results
Safety, experienced in OSHA standards and tracking, ability to lead the organization in analysis and changes to working practices and culture to exceed OSHA standards
Skillful leader with proven ability to drive change and sustain results
Driven for results with a relentless appetite to improve and exceed goals.
Systems experience with AS400, RF/Bar-coding technology and sortation/material handling systems preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a distribution and office environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 40 pounds. Equipment operation requires specialized training and testing within Polaris' standards. Must be able to balance many demands simultaneously.

**Your role at Clorox:**
The Operator role is responsible for the production of ranch dressing. This requires an understanding of all equipment, its proper mode of safe operation, and the criticality of its role in production. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the operational success of assigned area and/or customer. This is achieved by driving efficient use of labor and following internal processes. This role is focused on providing our customers with an exemplary level of service by driving inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, task prioritization, and staff leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met.
Trains staff and monitors their performance, progress, and service levels.
Responsible for general administrative duties such as providing timely responses to inquiries, timecard management and submittal, entering productivity, etc.
Responsible for hiring, onboarding, daily management, performance management, promotion/demotion, coaching and discipline processes for assigned employees up to and including termination.
Identifies key team members that can be cross trained for promotion opportunities. Actively “build their bench” so associates are ready for next opportunities as our organization grows.
Promotes SOPs, follows processes and drives high attention to detail to ensure customer needs are met/exceeded daily.
Assists Operations team by investigating and resolving customer concerns and general support inquiries.
Oversees customer inventories, monitors orders and shipments.
Ensures quality, delivery and budget objectives are met/exceeded.
Provides recommendations for warehouse operations to improve by focusing on process workflow, personnel and space requirements, equipment and layout.
Produces regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Completes other duties as assigned by Operations Team.
“THE PERSON” | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of core education and related professional experience.
3+ years of industry work experience; two years of specific warehouse experience with proven results; supply chain experience required.
Advanced service, production, or supervisory role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) of the standard work required within the function.
Personnel management and supervisory experience required.
Prior experience of Domestic and International services within the logistics industry
Experience leveraging technology to perform daily tasks, including strong familiarity with MS Office applications (in particular Exchange, Word & Excel), web navigation & basic hardware.
Prior use with PO system, enterprise sourcing and/or inventory oversight for multiple locations.
Ability to travel 10%.

Schedule the warehousemen appropriately to complete all inbound/outbound and production operations on a daily basis while utilizing the labor to cost per case.
Work in conjunction with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all trailers are loaded and unloaded as scheduled.
Ensure all outbound finished goods shipments are shipped to quality standards; including pallet and product condition, trailer condition, product weight and correct quantities.
Ensure all inbound, raw and packaging materials are received in acceptable condition.
Work alongside the Inventory Control Coordinator to ensure all receipts are entered into SAGE daily.
Review and complete all departmental documentation to verify it is completed utilizing Good Documentation Practices for an SQF level 3 facility.
Review Daily Shipping Schedule to ensure proper inventory levels for the current week's shipments.
Work as a team with other department supervisors to ensure all daily duties are completed throughout the facility.
Promote good communication with truck drivers to help with dock flow.
Procure departmental supplies as needed and within the budget.
Act as first contact for forklift issues maintaining a good working relationship with the forklift maintenance company to keep forklift fleet in good operating conditions.
With guidance from the manager, completion of performance evaluations and individual employee meetings.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse owning the Master Sanitation Schedule for the department.
Lead by example to ensure all warehouse sanitation tasks are complete and that all safety guidelines are followed.
Maintain a clean and safe warehouse at all times.
