Job Summary:
The Route Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team drivers, messengers, and guards that support and performs the Cash in Transit functions. This position ensures accountability and the security of all liability and prioritizes daily operations workflow. The CIT Supervisor assists the Manager in the secure, safe and efficient functioning of the armored car facility.
This position functions in an armed environment. It also requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's and its customers, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink's and its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first line supervision to CIT employees
- Oversee daily operations including but not limited to route efficiency, route scheduling, opening and closing of branch
- Maintain safe and secure environment with the goal of ensuring that all CIT employees work and return home safely
- Provide coaching and skill development to employees on a consistent basis
- Leverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain and provide quality customer service
- Secure inventories by executing controls and ensuring strict compliance with security procedures; ensure implementation of measures to reduce worker's compensation injury costs and security losses
- Ensure employees are in compliance with federal, state and local regulations required to perform their duties
- Assist Management as need to meet branch goals
- Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years operations experience in transportation and/or logistics
- Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
- A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an armored car driver
- Knowledge of route analysis and logistics
- Knowledge of lean/process improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of budgeting and planning experience
- Bachelor's Degree

Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and software.
Conduct regular counts and full physical inventory audits (minimum monthly)

Source, order, and replenish inventory items based on approved forecasts, reorder points, and sales demand.
Purchase related items, including packaging materials, tools, consumables, safety supplies, and warehouse equipment.
Create and submit purchase orders; track order status and expected delivery dates.
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and discrepancies.
Ensure purchased items meet quality standards and company specifications.
Coordinate closely with receiving to verify quantities, condition, and accuracy of delivered goods.
Monitor purchasing budgets and report variances or cost-saving opportunities to leadership.
Maintain accurate records of vendors, pricing, and purchasing history.
Identify and recommend alternative vendors or products to improve cost, quality, or reliability.
Team Supervision & Training
Create and deliver weekly staff schedules.
Supervise warehouse staff and assign daily tasks.

Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire codes, and company safety policies.
Monitor proper use of equipment.

Reporting & Documentation
Prepare weekly and monthly inventory and warehouse reports.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory turnover, and shipping efficiency.
Document inventory adjustments, damages, and returns.
Track warehouse expenses and report to management.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
Evaluate warehouse layout, storage solutions, and picking methods.
Recommend technology or software enhancements for inventory management.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse operations.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure inventory aligns with demand.
Communicate stock availability and order status to relevant departments.
Resolve inventory or shipment issues quickly and efficiently.
Miscellaneous
Partner with finance, sales, and operations teams to align warehouse and investor activities with company goals.
Support strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned by leadership.

Inventory Accuracy Rate: 95% inventory accuracy rate with no more than 5% shrinkage allowance.
Stockout Rate: 5% or less of SKUs out of stock when needed (excludes wholesaler stockage issues).
Order Fulfillment Accuracy: 95% of orders shipped correctly without errors.
Safety Incidents per Employee: The number of safety incidents per month is zero.
SOP Implementation Rate: 100% of warehouse processes documented and standardized.
Budget Adherence: 5% variance of warehouse operating expenses vs. the approved budget.
Each shift is properly staffed.
Inventory and reconcile weekly, and review with COO and DFO.
All orders are packed and shipped within 1 business day.
New Inventory received is entered into Shopify and added to the inventory sheet daily.
