Picks up return items following established guidelines and performs daily par cart inventories, picks orders, confirms orders, and delivers supplies to assigned par areas. Creates requisitions for non-stock supplies as needed in assigned par areas. Ensures par areas are orderly, properly tagged, and sufficiently stocked to meet customer needs. Properly disburses all materials to various locations in the facility as assigned in a timely manner following any established route and schedule, with special attention to refrigerated supplies and overnight packages. Maintains warehouse and other assigned areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner. Accurately completes the replenishment/picking process, including all associated computer software tasks to ensure accurate record keeping. Job Description
The Western Digital System Integration Test (SIT) Lab is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage Hard Disk Drive (HDD) inventory and oversee shipping and receiving operations. This role will collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate tracking, dispersal, collection, and movement of HDDs. The Inventory Specialist will also provide work direction to contractors supporting the team.
Qualifications
Material Handling:
Receive, unload, and store Lab materials.
Transport pallets or boxes of HDDs to designated storage areas.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials.
Retrieve and deliver materials to test areas as needed.
Scan HDDs, boxes or pallets into SIT inventory system.
Perform kitting of hard drives for use in storage systems.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of material movements.
Provide regular reports on inventory levels and material receipts.
Assist in inventory audits as required.
This role is expected to handle up to 50 pound boxes on their own.
Skills:
Basic computer skills.
Proficiency with spreadsheets (required).
Basic arithmetic skills for verifying product quantities.
Experience using pallet jacks or hand trucks (beneficial).
Experience using hand tools or powered screwdrivers (beneficial).
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
A formal college degree is not required for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide outstanding customer service
Clean and sanitize daily
Cashier duties include checking out customers and operating a POS (Point of Sale) system
Unload product off of the truck to be stocked on shelves
Stock shelves with products for customers to purchase
Properly price and display product signs
Sack groceries and provide "to your car" carry out service
Record and report accurate inventory counts
Assist all customers in their shopping
Potential to perform E-Commerce Duties, such as picking customer orders correctly, bagging the orders, and taking orders to customer vehicles
Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 14 years old or older
Must be able to work Saturdays and some evenings
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work with others
Good interpersonal skills
Good verbal communication skills
Basic math skills are required
Previous experience in the grocery business or a related field is helpful but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
On feet up to 8+ hours per day
