    Registered Behavior Technician HOURS OF WORK: Hours Daily / 171 Calendar Days Yearly STATUS: Classified - Non-Exempt, Full Time The job of Registered Behavior Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional staff and students to effect positive behavioral change in students. The Registered Behavior Technician will work directly with students ages 3-21 to teach skills needed to be successful in the classroom setting and to reduce problem behavior. Specific responsibilities include data collection and graphing, implementation of evidence-based behavior strategies, training of team members, participation in monthly after-school supervision sessions, and working collaboratively with teams. Must have current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver accommodations for students who have an Individual Educational Program (IEP) and be able to participate in class. Assist students with aggressive and challenging behaviors Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). · Attend professional development, department meetings and workshops. · Implement and provide feedback and suggestions to supervisor(s) for the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness of students' behavior plans and programming. · Assists with individualized assessment procedures for the purpose of developing intervention plans or analyzing progress. · Assists in developing procedures and training materials for district staff involved with students who have behavioral concerns for the purpose of enhancing their programs. · Collects/graphs behavioral data and trains other staff to collect/graph data for the purpose of analyzing student progress. · Implements evidence-based behavioral strategies for the purpose of promoting student self-regulation. · Performs maneuvers as required by Safe Crisis Management course(s) including emergency safety interventions for the purpose of keeping the student, other students, and staff safe. · Supports and implements a student's IEP created by the school's IEP team in conjunction with a board certified behavior analyst. Instruct students in group and individual settings to meet IEP goals. Monitor students providing a positive and safe environment conducive to learning. Provide certified staff data and support regarding students' IEP development. · Support students in addressing personal care needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements: · High school diploma or equivalent. · Position related experience is preferred. Demonstrates accurate prioritization skills for: stat/now orders, answering/placing phone calls, recognizing/reporting critical lab values and other test results, recognizing emergent patient needs, etc. Understands management/follow-up is essential to be sure testing ordered reaches the patient. * Demonstrates the ability to print/maintain hardcopies of inpatient orders. Maintains competency of order entry, computer downtime procedure, and future orders.
