Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you. You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day. You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day. You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day. The position is for an individual who has experience with, or knowledge of, the needs of those diagnosed with substance abuse and how to assist them with accessing community resources, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide an encouraging opportunity for individuals in need of substance use and related services to engage in dialogue to enhance their recovery and to offer encouragement in times of crisis. • Assists individuals in articulating personal goals through the use of one-on-one and group sessions as they move toward care and recovery. • Provides linkages, referrals and information regarding community providers. • Communicates effectively with individuals and family members who may be ambivalent about pursuing treatment and assists them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting the victim. • Provides ongoing support and training in the use of personal and community resources following discharge in order to engage individuals and families in services (e.g. telephonic, community, and home based outreach). • Identifies, supports, and consults with providers regarding the development and implementation of effective and/or integrated strategies and the use of evidenced based approaches. • Establishes and maintains relationships with community provider organizations. • Perform a variety of miscellaneous duties as requested to support department and or organization objectives including, but not limited to, completing and maintaining accurate and detailed client case records and related reports as required by agency procedures, filing, and responding to inquiries via phone and email. Participate in individual and group supervision according to agency and OASAS guidelines. Involved in interviewing and selecting staff for the residence; responsible for onboarding, orientation and annual reviews, staff development, education, training and disciplinary actions. We remit payment within 45 days of encounter documentation in our user-friendly EMR. Typical Appointments In-person appointments consist of general medical evaluations at one of our partner facilities. Evaluations are performed once per veteran and typically take 30 to 90 minutes. There are no ongoing treatment needs for these veterans; it is a one-time encounter. Our current need is for 3-5 days per week. We efficiently schedule a series of evaluation appointments that last no more than a total of eight hours on each of those days. No Administrative Tasks Required Our back-office support team handles all administrative work, including contracting with the Veterans Administration, liaising with contractors, and payment.
