    Scope of Work To work as a member of a team with program staff, families and the community to achieve student success. Responsible for fostering partnerships in student development and the implementation of varied activities including educational and social and emotional learning. Implement a program curriculum designed to meet program objectives by creating a safe environment where students can build SEL skills to help them succeed in school. Engage parents in identifying needs, act as an advocate by connecting families to Wayne Metro resources and assisting with the coordination of support services. Ensure no child is left unsupervised at any time and ensure the health and safety of children, families and staff, per agency, federal, state and local policies. Assist with data collection and compliance of the grant. Evaluate youth progress in predetermined measurable terms at program intervals and communicate with parents to engage them as partners in their students' growth. Builds and maintains relationships with school day staff with the purpose of partnering in building student success. Facilitate and maintain a family advisory committee. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma. Associate's Degree or credits toward an associates in child related fields preferred. Child related fields include early childhood, secondary education, elementary education, special education, physical education, child guidance, child counseling, child psychology, family studies, social work, human services, and youth development. Minimum of two years of experience in youth education/programming: elementary/secondary education, youth development, out of school time programming, pre-social work, or child related field. Ability to implement program plans appropriate for meeting the educational and personal development needs of at-risk youth. Ability to implement evaluation tools to accurately measure the results achieved by youth participation in the program. Ability to interact with parents, teachers, and other professionals to identify, and provide for the needs of youth with regards to social services, recreational/cultural activities, and education. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision. Minimum Competencies: Working knowledge of basic internet applications and programs including Google technology and Microsoft Office Word and Excel.     Scope: Wayne Metro's Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Program is designed to provide permanent and stable housing to formerly homeless people in Wayne County. The PSH Program operates as a Housing First program and provides intensive, community-based case management services to households across the county. The PSH Case Management Specialist will maintain a caseload of up to 20 households and provide person-centered, trauma-informed services to help people obtain and remain in stable housing. This position must be filled by an individual who has a passion for social justice work, is a team player, and is committed to working alongside people as they transition out of homelessness into permanent and stable housing Essential Functions Provide supportive services and develop trusting relationships to individuals being served by Wayne Metro's Permanent Supportive Housing Program. Provide face-to-face engagements to PSH residents both in their homes and in the community. PSH Case Management Specialist are expected to meet or exceed weekly contact requirements for each of their PSH residents Engage PSH residents to collaboratively develop goals and individualized service plans to support their housing stability, mental health, substance abuse, health, education, income, employment, and other priority areas. Provide housing navigation services to individuals who are newly assigned to Wayne Metro's PSH Program, including assistance in obtaining identification documents, completing housing applications, and identifying and viewing housing units. Support residents to maintain housing stability through individually tailored services and by facilitating effective connections to community services and resources. 1o Examples of support services include successful tenancy problem-solving, independent living skill-building, connection to public benefits and employment assistance, money management support, and connection to medical, mental health, and substance use disorder services. The Family Advocate is responsible for purchasing orders and supplies, grocery shopping, food inventory, and menu planning. The Family Advocate also serves as a backup for conducting intakes and serving as a Safehouse Advocate.     Job Description The Crisis Hotline Professional works directly under the supervision of the Manager-Crisis Hotline and Front Desk. The Resource and Crisis Hotline Professional provides immediate, compassionate support to individuals experiencing emotional distress, mental health crises, or seeking behavioral health resources. This role involves responding to calls, texts, and chats with professionalism and empathy, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating appropriate interventions. The professional ensures accurate documentation, follows agency protocols, and collaborates with team members to deliver trauma-informed, person-centered care. This position plays a vital role in promoting safety, stability, and access to services for individuals in need. This is a 24/7 facility with shifts available across all hours. Compensation is based on experience. Essential Functions Respond to crisis calls, texts, and chats with empathy, professionalism, and urgency. Conduct suicide and safety risk assessments using approved tools and protocols. Provide immediate emotional support, crisis de-escalation, and short-term counseling. Offer referrals to local mental health, substance use, and social service resources. Develop and implement crisis-related safety plans in collaboration with the individual. Engage emergency services (e.g., 911, mobile crisis teams) when necessary for safety. Document all interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) or call system. Maintain caller confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and agency privacy policies. Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training. Monitor for high-risk situations such as suicidal ideation, abuse, or frequent callers. Provide follow-up support and ensure warm hand-offs to appropriate services. Support and mentor volunteers or new staff as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and community resources.
