About the role
As a Sr. Regional Buyer, you will be responsible for planning and replenishing items based on sales history and forecasts to satisfy customer demand in the region. You will source the favorite produce for our customers. You will have the opportunity to flex your negotiation and strategic planning skills to drive the growth and success of our produce category. Your job is to bring the "art" to the "science" - using your intuition and expertise fueled by data, analytics, and, above all, a passion for helping our customers get high-quality produce and live better.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Regional Merchandising Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive category growth
Identify customer preferences and forecast customer trends across target ethnicities, introducing produce offerings that resonate with local customers
Lead the produce assortment strategy in collaboration with the Ethnic team, sourcing culturally relevant "must-have" items tailored to Latino customer preference within the Los Angeles region
Lead produce quality and customers experience initiatives by reviewing refund trends, resolving item-specific quality issues, and improving overall freshness and consistency for produce in the cold storage environment
Foster trust and relationships with strategic vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services; managing vendor performances
Partner with Central produce team to drive sales plan for fruits, in both promo price & base price
Analyze and balance inventory levels and logistics progress to optimize the availability and safety stock levels while minimizing risk of stock out
Conduct market research on assortment and pricing
Assist in preparing necessary reports and documentations
Key Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in grocery category management, at least 3+ years in produce
Proven experience as a Procurement Planner, Purchasing Specialist, Supply Chain Specialist, or similar role
Working knowledge of MS Office, Tableau
Must be able to act independently since the position is the main point of contact for order fulfillment with vendors
Passion for produce and eagerness to learn more about the industry, and different cultures
Comfortable working in cold storage environment and conducting in-warehouse product inspection and quality checks
Comfortable addressing urgent business situations as they arise, including on weekends
Deep understanding of the Latino customer behavior and product needs
Bilingual: English & Spanish
Nice to have:

About the Role

Buyer/Purchasing Agent
The Buyer is responsible for procuring all necessary materials and services to support operations and work orders with the lowest price, quickest delivery, and highest quality. The ability to understand purchasing systems, processes, and develop strategic sourcing and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time.
Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules.
Keep work orders and purchase order's associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and provide documentation to internal and external customers.
Possess and understands ERP system requirements and functions for the system to operate efficiently and effectively. Maintain all ERP data for their supply base.
Ability to understand and follow the department and company's work instructions and operating procedures and continually maintain processes so work instructions are up to date.
Aptness to work with others and lead purchasing/sourcing initiatives.
Responsible for procurement in all or several of the facilities needs including MRP (supply/demand), Outsourced Vendor Services (OVS), tooling fabrication, consumables/supplies, purchasing requisitions, and equipment maintenance to ensure that the facility's production is uninterrupted.
Build strategic relationships with the supply base as well as internal customers and gain knowledge of products and company needs to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
Support the Estimating and engineering department with sourcing materials and service for potential or current contracts.
Ensure purchase orders are appropriately scheduled for company visibility, account payable forecasting, supplier metrics, and proper level of inventory.
Capable of forecasting and communicating potential constraints with products or purchase orders within the company and with suppliers.
Demonstrate high ethical standards, personal integrity, and respect among colleagues.
Assess current supply base to look for strategic sourcing initiatives and conduct RFQs and cost negotiation for products and services.
Skilled in handling challenges in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a positive and productive work environment when interacting with others.
Efficiently working with the team as well as independently and to complete assigned tasks on time.
Able to assess and develop departmental needs and work with the team to implement requirements.

Qualifications:
3+ years related experience in purchasing or supply chain within aerospace or medical field.
Intermediate mathematical and accounting principles.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, verbal, and comprehension).
High competency in Excel and other computer programs.
BA degree preferred
CPIM, CSCP, APICS certifications preferred
Background and Drug test required

Site Experience
Manage partnership with Site team to optimize the website; scans the site daily to ensure that TJ is consistently putting best foot forward.
Responsible for creating seasonal e-comm shot lists & tracking assets; work with Creative Operations to ensure product is captured accurately and representative of final bulk product.
Build and execute alignment of site merchandising strategies with pre-season buy initiatives and in season site recommendations.
Systems Work & Sample Management
Own management of Buying team + E-Comm photoshoot samples.
Responsible for initial review of SMS to ensure proper execution of E-Comm product intent (added milestone date).
Partner with Merchant (now owner) on maintaining merchandising sections within PLM system each season, including the execution of adds, drops and changes to the assortment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assistant Sourcing Manager will be responsible for assisting in product development lifecycle activities such tech pack BOM updates, sample tracking, and maintaining product-related data across systems in accordance with seasonal calendar.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute tech pack accuracy including maintaining updates from sales sample stage through ‘ready for bulk'.
Responsible for system accuracy, including carryover of basic styles each season and communicating completion to cross-functional partners.
Manage data entry for vendor allocation in PLM during tech pack pass off.
Run seasonal Line Matrix/PLM Accuracy report at Style/Color level.
Create and manage vendor information sheets.
Coordinate sample management including ordering and tracking of proto and SMS.
Understand seasonal strategies and align day-to-day priorities accordingly.
Partner with Product Design team to develop products within Supply sourcing matrix.
Monitor calendar and engage with cross-functional teams to ensure all key dates are met.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of related experience in Sourcing, Product Development and/or Production
Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Textile/Product Development or Manufacturing-related background is preferred
Computer skills: Full MS Office Suite & Google Suit
Knowledge of and/or experience with Centric PLM, a plus
Must possess excellent follow-up and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills

About the Role:
The Sr. Category Buyer is responsible for executing merchandising strategies, sourcing products, and building assortments to optimize performance in order to increase profitability and drive growth within the Chinese category.
The ideal candidate possesses a keen understanding of market trends and strong negotiation skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing both strategies and hands-on execution to optimize sales and operations. With an analytical background, you will also play with different dataset across user / GMV / New SKU performance rating to drive actionable insights.
What you will do:
Drive growth in our Chinese category by developing and implementing strategies that enhance quality, reduce costs, and optimize our supply chain efficiency
Develop clear future-looking category roadmaps, highlighting key assortment themes, seasonal shifts, and margin drivers for the next 2- 4 quarters
Conduct deep data driven competitor and market analysis, spanning U.S. retailers and evolving trends within the Chinese Market in order to uncover trends, identify gaps and growth opportunities to differentiate our product offerings
Lead strategic vendor negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing and reliable supply
Lead the execution of key seasonal campaigns and evaluate their performance through comprehensive post-event reviews
Ensure vendor compliance with food safety, documentation, and sustainability standards
Review purchase orders and payments, and address operational issues to ensure smooth collaborations with the vendors
What you will need:
Must have:
5+ years of relevant industry experience in buying, sourcing, or merchandising
Strong understanding of Chinese customer behavior and product preferences
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms) to support decision-making and category performance evaluation
Advanced understanding of procurement systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize their use
Strong Business Acumen- Understanding how decisions impact financial performance and strategy
Proactive thinker, with strong work ethic and integrity
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to act like an owner: proactive, accountable, and driven by outcomes

Compensation Range
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $91,500-107,000
