Our Housekeeping crew works independently, each having their own assignments but also as a team to help each other complete all daily tasks in a timely manner. The hours for this position are 3 days a week from 7am-3:30pm and 1 day each week and EOW working 11am-8pm. The 7am-3:30pm shifts will be a float for the housekeeping department and the 11am-8pm shift will be doing floor care. Job Summary: Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Environmental Services Supervisor. Ensure all daily and deep cleaning duties are adhered to. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene. Ensure all cleaning chemicals are correctly and safely used and kept safely in locked cart. Adhere to correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents. Adhere to all policies and procedures that pertain to your position and department. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed. Walking and be on your feet for 90% of the day. Ability to lift 40lbs. Dust, clean, and polish all fixtures, furniture, curtains, baseboards, vents, windows, fans, top of door frames, top of windows, etc. Collect and dispose of trash properly. Move furniture and other heavy objects as required to clean. Check all electrical cords on beds and lamps for bare wires and report any issues to facilities. Assist with resident moves and preparing rooms for admissions.
